I had a bar of this waiting for me Saturday and had the opportunity to give it a spin this morning. I was away at the deer lease over the weekend so I had a couple of days growth going this morning. Initial impressions. Being the Unscented variety, the only aroma detected was the cocoa butter. The bar is a nice size at 4oz. I transferred the bar to an 8oz. tin as I do to just about all soaps I buy. The bar was easily mashed down into the tin, it is a very soft bar. I allowed some warm water to sit atop the soap while I showered. The soap loaded well into my Semogue 1305 and lathered in my cup. The lather produced would take as much water as I could give it, and was a merengue-like consistency. On the skin, Craftsman is slick. My razor glided through the two day growth with no issues. After my typical 3 pass baby pursuit, I ended up with a very nice shave. A splash of Clubman and voilĂ . This stuff is a winner IMO and will be in the rotation. At $8 a bar plus shipping, methinks it is a good value, but there are certainly equal performers at a lower price point. The biggest plus in my book is a soap with only the ingredients needed to make it a great performer and nothing else. Those with sensitive skin or desiring no scent will probably like this soap a lot. Ingredients: Tallow, Water, Cocoa Butter, Stearic Acid, Coconut Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Aloe Vera Juice, Sodium Lactate, Lanolin Give it a try. I think you'll like it.
