This was my first restore long before I was a member here. I was still figuring out the whole restoration thing but was really enjoying it. I love the look of wood scales, and love paduak with a passion. The wedge is brass lined orange g10, and the paduak was finished in tru-oil with all brass hardware. The scales were cut with a coping saw and sanded to shape with a 1x30 belt sander The pics aren't that great; not a photographer and hadn't figured out the camera just yet. Thanks for looking!

Very nice razor. Good job with the restore. Wish I had the cahones and expertise to try SR's. Maybe I could try shavettes first and then progress to them later.

Exactly how I got started. I would highly recommend the feather ss with the proguard blades. Spend the extra money, the dovo's and parkers I have heard way more bad than good. I wish I had never sold my feather; it makes a perfect travel razor as well and their blade cases have built in used blade slots in the cases.
