Cherry burl brush.

    Thank you. This is the third??? brush I've made. I think it's the nicest one yet. Spectacular wood doesn't hurt.

    Yes. I've been a woodturner for a long time. Got into wet shaving about a year ago and saw people buying knots to restore old brushes and thought "I can make my own" the process is very similar to bottle stoppers I've been making forever. I much prefer using something hand made than mass produced items.

    Here's a new one in maple burl. Set the knot 1/4 inch deeper than I normally do for more back bone. Do you think it threw off the proportions? I did at first and thought I'd shim it out but now I actually think it's ok. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414434195.240545.jpg
