Morning gents. I just finished a great shave with KMF unscented. Before using it twice this week, it's been a long time since using it. I forgot how moisturizing it is. I usually rush to put on my Nivea balm, but almost forgot. My face feels fantastic! Anyway, on to the question. I have the pump bottle. One squeeze wasn't enough for me this morning with face lathering. Should it be? How much do you use for 3-4 passes? I ask not due to concern of using excess cream but more about my lathering technique.
How much YOU use will depend on your brush type, brush size, hardness of water AND how much lather YOU want.
What Steve said =) I've been interested in trying that shave cream, but only because of the name hahaha
Brush = Vintage Blade 22m Badger (love this brush) Water Hardness = No freakin clue. I don't think it's too hard though. Lather = I like to have a thick lather for all 3 passes of course! No worries on a definitive answer and I understand YMMV. I also use AOS unscented cream. I find I need about half the amount when using that. @Omelmad - You should definitely try it out! I think it'll be good for the dry air in the winter. Also, I've never used it this way, but I think some people use it super lathers w/ soap I think.
I have hard water. I find I can do the shave with 2 pumps, but KMF is soooo cheap that I use 3 and go for the maximum luxurious shave! Why not? Every now and then the feeling of total luxury is great.
Good call Jerald. Bottom line is it is inexpensive and one should use however much they need for the shave they want.
Try mixing one pump of KMF with another cream next time. Since it's unscented, it won't interfere with the scented cream and really boosts the lather. Or don't.
I bowl lather but it makes enough for 4-5 passes so It would be plenty for 3 passes. Both scents are great. Both are light and good for sensitive skin. The lavender is very nice.
I have the tube, and I just use a dollop, and I face lather. I only do two passes anymore. Close comfortable shave. Don't chase the Baby.
You can get a rough idea of how hard your water is just by watching to see how much "soap scum" there is floating on the water after you shave and rinse.
