You have a very nice kit there. We have many knowledgeable Straight shavers here a at TSD that can help you on your Straight razor journey, with technique and maintenance tips.
We're so glad, here at TSD, that you've discovered that it's your friends who are uninformed and not yourself. OLD SCHOOL RULES!! That said you need to spread the word to them.:) Try getting them started using a preshave prep, brush and "real" shave soap or cream at first. That one step will make a world of difference in their shave. :happy088:

Awesome guys. Been shaving with my open comb exclusively since my first post here. Really developed a method and love for it. Shaving is no longer a task but a pleasure that's rewarded with a job well done. Honestly...... I haven't haunted here half as much as I should of since I've joined. Mainly I'm interested in finding a quality Straight, stiffer brush, and what I need to maintain my edge.

Oh. And a better cream. Honestly when I got this stuff it was whatever was on eBay after short research. Sooooo. Sub par lol. But it works.

Revisor razor. Thater brush two band for stiff. Creams you can't beat Taylor of Bond for price, Truefitt and Hill for excellent protection or Castle Forbes. Great stuff
