"....the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.." I find that if I go more than two days, Robert, I can't stand it any longer, either. With Movember just around the corner, I'll have to sacrifice shaving my upper lip for 30 days. Between that and my existing mouche; my shaving real estate is diminishing!
5/8 L.C. Clark & Co., Danville, VA KMF & Williams homemade boar Basic no name razor made with fine German steel and a very good shaver. Have a good one. Notice the uber lather this morning.
Freidel Koch 6/8 gold etched one of a 7 day set ( Monday) - beautiful razor that shaves so well and sings like a hummingbird Soap - MWF - I have made numerous attempts to make a nice lather with this soap and still cannot. I finally added some Tabac crème and glycerin to finish the shave with. I soaked the soap all night and it lathered quickly but had zero body? AS - Floid Blue & a Razorock blam
Hart 7/8 with Ivory scales Seifenglatt Versailles soap Floid Black label AS Razorock Zi Pepino Balm As good a shave as I have ever had
Today was Razor - Revisor 13/16 NOS soap - WSP Rustic Lavender scent AS - none, just a RR balm Fantastic shave but this soap is barely above average in glide and tends to break down on my face so I added Arko crème with a dab of glycerin after the first pass. Would I buy the WSP again, probably not but is it good enough to use up or pass on in a PIF
the stenton bigger of the two the wade is 8/8 stenton is 10/8. the stenton is my favorite but I use it once or twice a month due to rarity
I've never seen or heard of the Stenton. Is it a modern artisan razor or vintage? From the tiny photo, the scales look vintage. Country of manufacture? I wouldn't let rarity keep me from using the razor often.
stenton was around 1830 to 1836 Sheffield marked wm stenton and son again superior, If memory serves right, if you want a bigger pic pm me and I can send you one, I posted it as 10/8 and it is not it is 12/8 the biggest stenton I have ever seen or heard of. the man I got this one from has another but hasn't made the decision to sell it yet.all I have is the promise if he sell it I get first crack.
6/8 Wacker Williams homemade boar I noticed a ding on the Wacker yesterday while cleaning up so I took it to the hones last night for a touch up. Excellent shave this morning. I made this square bowl years ago and would like to use it for shaving but the wife says no way. Have a good one.
Rabbit Rabbit! 13/16 Packwood. First shave since I put on some new scales in cherrywood. An excellent shave this morning.
