Where I'm from a Snakebaite is Yukon Jack, Tripel sec and a dash of lime juice. How did they make it in OH? Please don't take this as rude it isn't meant to be.
The snakebite I had was in Portsmouth, England, in 1988. Half Strongbow, half (I think) Harp or something similar. I've not been quite able to duplicate it since, probably because they were both on tap, but it was delicious. No offense taken.
Wife brought in my Smith's oatmeal but also bought a bottle of Smith's hard apple cider. A bit dryer and not as sweet as Strongbow (which is not particularly sweet, as ciders go), I think I prefer it to SB adn would buy it more often if it wasn't $4 a bottle here. Good stuff.
A local brewer and cider maker just made an awesome snakebite a few weeks ago. It would be great if it became a regular!
Tonight it's going to be some Johny Walker Red , since my Tullamore Dew evaporated during my birthday party
This was from last night. The perfect way to enjoy International Stout Day! Goose Island 2013 Bourbon County Coffee Stout.
What will be in my glass tonight will be Burning Griffin Snakebite which is a really nice collaboration between Great Lakes Brewing Company and Griffin Cider Works. Part GLBC Burning River, Part Oaked Griffin Original. Good stuff!
