1. Beautiful straight!
  2. You have a hard time holding a razor too, huh? I have psoriatic arthritis and it attacks my fingers making them swell. That's why I picked up this bad boy

Fat Handle easy to hold. If you like SEs. Lol

But srsly sorry you're hurting and sending happy shaves your way.

    Razor: 1959 Gillette Fatboy {E2}
Blade: Super-Max Super Platinum Tiger (3rd shave)

Blades are still doing good, on 3rd shave with them, had to dial the setting back to 3 on the adjustable to give my face a rest but the shaves were so close last two days I didn't need much more than 2 passes.

    Cheers
  5. Great to hear your SO is doing better, but sorry to hear about your hands, Patrick. Best wishes sent!

  9. Razor: Merkur 34c HD

    Mug: VDH Black Mug

    Blade: Feather (2)
Pre shave: Tree Hut Shea Mango
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Neutrogena Balm, California 1981 Bay Rum

The Merkur 34c HD does give me some burn if I use to much pressure or go over an area to many times. You can get away with doing that because this razor is so mild. First time for this soap, very soft like a croup. Nice scent with a hint of liquorice not too strong. Lathers up well even with this soft brush. I screwed in the Feather, and checked the alignment and was good to go for my first pass WTG. A little rinse to see how we are doing and relather for a XTG pass on my face and ATG on my neck. Some more lather for touch up on my neck and we are done. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some Neutrogena Balm then some Bay Rum. Nice smooth shave with just a little burn. Have a good one, and go VOTE!
  10. Very beautiful brush! It must take a lot of time to create. Well done!:eatdrink047:

  15. SOTD - Menthol Monday

    First weeper with RRKS
It finally happened after one month. Interestingly, it was the first time I tried an Astra SP in it. I usually use Rapira PL. Not sure if it was inattention, a concealed pimple, or the blade. Anyways, still a 2 pass DFS with touch ups. Mild neck irritation for one hour. Hmmm.. Haven't had that in ages. May have to try this combo again to see what i did wrong.

    Pre - CWS

    Soap - Proraso white

    Brush - WD 24x48

    Razor - RRKS

    Blade - Astra SP

  18. MONDAY
    Late Menthol Monday Shave
A day to recuperate after a busy getaway weekend with the guys. Up at the Tahoe cabin, I demo'd a straight razor shave Saturday morning for the curious among us five.
None are quite yet ready to drop their cartridge shavers, but the guys were fascinated by the process. Fortunately from me, no blood was drawn in my demo…:D
Tonight's menthol shave, however, did draw some blood as I again used a square-point to inadvertently probe a soft part of my cheek (ouch!)
Still managed a smooth, chilly menthol shave! :happy088:
