1. Like the title says, what did your last shave teach you or make you realize?

Did you discover you really like a product you hadn't used in forever, or that you can't stand a blade, or that your technique sucks? Lol

    Post em up!
  2. I'll go first...

I learned that the GEM Junior Parade is fantastic shaver.
  3. Even at my age I still get whiteheads every now and then and the razor reminds me of it before I know it is there.
  4. If one has managed to get a large spider bite on one's neck, one shouldn't simply lather and shave over it…..:signs131:
  5. That I'm caffeine sensitive, and should never drink coffee before I shave.
  6. Yikes! Vampire spider lol

  7. They never go away... Sigh....
  8. You too? Lol I am on meds that cause Parkisonism and that with coffee is not a great idea lol
  9. That my new Ball End Tech is a great shave, a little more aggressive than my SuperSpeed, but a great shave
  10. I learnt that stopping a straight razor was not the rocket science requiring skill I had feared it would be :) Took me quite some time as I went real slow - but I rather enjoyed the process. X-pattern for the win!
  11. Coffee is an essential before I grab any razor….:D

  12. I learned by the third shave, Pol-Silver Super Iridium razor blades are toast... YMMV. :shaver
  13. It's so funny how YMMV works - I personally really like them :)
  14. Don't get me wrong... I like them, but it seems like this third shave ended with more razor rash today than before... maybe it was the shaving cream that was the culprit though, now that I think of it. (Godrey)

BTW, I enjoyed hearing you mentioned on Brush & Soap & Blade podcast this week! Congrats!
  15. Great stuff guys! Keep it going!

  16. This morning.

Using stuff that I haven't used in forever is a SIN.

I hadn't used my Tech since last winter....... And it delivered the mild touch up shave I desired.
  17. I learnt that my Omega 49 boar and I need some more get-to-know-you time. It doesnt hold the lather like my badgers. Pass two with my Super Adjustable was on the edge of uncomfortable, and pass three punished me a little. I face lathered and was able to build a great lather initially, but the reserves werent there for subsequent passes.
  18. I learnt that I probably wont bother sneaking a DE with blades on a plane because the Gillette Guard does a wonderful job on the go.
  19. I learned that I still have a lot to learn.
  20. That I need to be careful shaving the back of my neck. I headshave btw.
