    Uberlather Saturday

It has been a relaxing day at home with my Bride. I did some quick chores outside this morning and enjoyed temps in the 40s.

My two-pass shave at mid-day included my trusty Weber PH with a Feather blade on day two and my Kent BK8 brush. I used MWF, D.R. Harris Almond, and glycerin to whip up a nice uberlather. I face-lather, but I kept the lather warm between passes in my Becker scuttle. I finished up with Thayer's Lavender, Clinique Post-Shave Healer and eight or nine splashes (or maybe one splash, I can't remember ) of Clubman aftershave.

The alum block and styptic pencil never saw the light of day, so it was a great shave! A three-pass shave was tempting, but I will be shaving again in less than 24 hours for church.

I hope you all have a blessed weekend! :happy088:

    +1 on the Voskhod.

I an get at least 7 shaves out a blade and at 10-12 cents a blade they are a steal for the quality shave I receive off of a Voskhod. They work well with all my DE's except my Bakelite Slant.

Steve did an excellent job with that handle. Oh and by the way, did you say you liked amber handled brushes? :happy093:

Glad the Feather works for you. It's the only blade I use now. With my Gillette adjustables I find that with a Feather blade I use no pressure and hold the razor way out on the end of the handle. The heavy head of the adjustables does all of the work for me. As always YMMV

A close, comfortable, and frosty shave. The blade I used was SuperMax Titanium. Two passes and I was treated with a BBS.

Started out with the MMOC. Last nights shave was really really nice so I wanted to repeat it, at least with the same razor. On the first pass I felt that it was a bit harsh so I switched to my Gillette Slim.

I didnt even want to post this SOTD because I was really unhappy. Pass 2 and 3 was better but I didn't get a close shave and I nicked myself(small bump). Just awful, an awful shave!

I blame the prep and I think the lather wasn't the best. I have gotten good shaves with this soap before. I just didn't do a good work lathering it I guess.

I wasn't going to shave today. I've been working in the garage all day and my wife came out and asked if I'd like to go on a date. Of course, I said yes. I enjoyed a terrific BBS shave and I'm ready to go.

Have a great day (what's left of it)!
