Oh boy, this time I'm going overboard with the menthol and I'm going to freeze my pretty little face off to the absolute max. Even the Neutrogena facial wash is darned chilly when you leave it on for a minute or two. The Glacial Obsidian soap starts off icy and within seconds it feels almost painful, with each pass feeling colder than the previous one. The menthol fumes bring "tears of joy" to your eyes as well. The Anherb conditioner gives a supporting frigid blast with awesome soothing comfort to a freshly-shaven face, and the Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel almost numbs you afterwards. I think very highly of the 7 AM blades - they're sharp and very smooth. ;) :D

    Gillette Super Speed '47
    Astra SP
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Clubman

The C.O. Bigelow Shaving Cream face-lathered very easily with my Omega Pro 98 Boar Brush. Two passes with my '47 Gillette Super Speed and Astra SP blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    MONDAY
:smiley freezing: Evening Menthol Shave para el Lunes

This is probably my sixth or seventh shave with this UC Spike razor—and I'm suitably impressed by them. If you're looking to get into straight razor shaving, I'd recommend keeping an eye out for these Spike razors. They pop up occasionally on ebay, and can be had for a pretty reasonable price. Not as 'fancy' as the Dubl Ducks or similar popular brands, but the shape and feel of this blade—which takes a very nice edge easily, by the way—is quite comparable to that of those other brands. I'm very impressed with this vintage American-made razor. Great shaver! The combo of this fine blade and the killer chillness of the Cade & Stirling mix adds up to a fantastic shaving experience.
    Have a great Monday, gents!

Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable on 8

Do you use vaseline on your face? Does it not feel greasy?

Nope, I only use a very small amount with an already damp face, and it helps keep my face hydrated post-shave. I bought it in 2011 for $5, and it's still only 2/3 through. It's pretty much the cheapest post-shave balm I'll ever find

today's shave went well. I bombed Jack(1 drop). used the ss for three passes. passable, but not as close as normal. this relatively new blade doesn't seem real sharp, think I'll scrap it for 20141110_073859-1.jpg tomorrow. rubby dubby made it cold, for the finish.
hope y'all did as well, or better. the bars not real high today.

Today was a very nice shave. I don't have a huge amount of soaps or creams, but I also don't have a consistent rotation and every once and awhile I find myself going to a soap/cream that I have not used in too long. Well its been way too long since I've last used MITA. This is a great soap and provided a quick, ample lather with excellent glide and protection.

Not having shaved yesterday I was not sure if two passes with the Feather WW2 Tech combo was going to be enough. I was pleasantly surprised.
