I've heard it mentioned several times and I believe it's from somewhere in Europe. There's probably a thread around with all the information but I can't find it.Can't seem too find pictures and is Fat tip just a nick name?

I believe what you are referring to is a Fatip razor.

They were made in Italy IIRC and were known to be quite aggressive, but I think they switched the heads over to a Merkur head and lost the aggressiveness, and making the earlier head style sought after before the arrival of the Muhle 41.

    Fatip thread.

Edit: Reading through that thread shows that it had a Muhle 41 head, but that is a different style head than the new Muhle 41, seems Muhle keeps the same model number going even after they change the design.

    rasoio nichelato piccolo norocutti giovanni
il rasoio di sicurezza tutto in ottone which means small safety razor nickel plated all brass dist by John Norocutti in Brescia Italy

That is the bad boy I have. Very aggressive and not always up to tolerance standards.

Necropost! I couldn't use that thing. To aggressive for me especially since I now shave my head. I would get bumps using that even if I used a Personna Red.

It is a good-looking though not very well made razor. You have to align the blade carefully before tightening the head up (I do that to all my Gillette razors except 1979 black handle Super-Speed as well). Yes, it is quite aggressive. You can buy one from this vendor:

I had one, but got rid of it. I only used it if I went a week without shaving. I got BBS shaves with it when I used it like that.

I have one. More aggressive than most, but not unusably so. Maybe I lucked out. Definitely calls for a beefier handle than what came with it.

    I've got Ryan's.
    it's a mean razor.
    but I don't think it's poorly made.

The Fatip is a pretty good razor medium aggressive very reasonable price.
I use one as my 'travel' razor.

wow I'm glad you tamed that thing.
mine could not be called," medium aggressive". it remains the meanest snake in my zoo.
ymmv, for sure, but new guys thinking of getting one, better research it. it'll bite you.
