today's shave hot water wash with nivea men's semouge 620 boar forever summer artisan Caribbean bay frankenrazor: utopia head/ Lord handle Lord(1) ICED Florida water today's shave was a disappearing act. the artisan soap made ok lather, applied it would disappear, fast as I put it on. mixed in a little nana June's, just to keep it from completely becoming invisible. the utopia head was ok, first time I used that Parker style/ shape head. it seemed ok. the large Lord handle was positively difficult to hang on to, pity the light large handle paired with the heavy utopia seemed a good match. I rescued the shave with my fatboy. four plus passes, one weeper, no blood. smooth, but had to work for it. finished with ICED Florida water. hope y'all did better, for sure.

The Vie Long whipped up the Tabac into an almost yogurt like consistency. The lather was thick, slick and protective. The GEM and the Torrey had no problems with tackling the stubble. The Tabac AS helps to protect my skin on this cool morning. The Tabac EDC will keep me smelling good for the rest of the day. All in all, an almost BBS shave. Have a blessed day!

The Mitchell's was excellent, as ever, and the wee 2-band is just about the perfect balance of soft & firm. Lovely little brush that one, I couldn't be more pleased with it. The Turner is a very smooth lil' shaver and it's a beauty in the hand as well, full of comfy curves and a beefy tang. All in all a fantastic shave. Have a good 'un wherever you are folks.

SOTD 13 Nov 2014 Pre – Corn Huskers Brush - Plisson Soap – RazoRock XXX Razor – Merkur 34C Blade – Feather AS – Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve My first time using a feather, was nervous because of all the talk about it being so sharp etc. For me it worked great, no nicks, cuts or weepers. 3 smooth passes with the end result a DFS. For my Merkur 34C, right now the Feather is tied as my #2 blade along with Gillette Silver Blues. For the cost and performance Astra SP is my current #1 and will likely be my first bulk purchase, however will use new Astra tomorrow to compare..... to be continued.........
