6/8 Clauss U.S.M.C. Razorock Bayrum with some Arko Ultimate Comfort crème & a dab of glycerin Razorock Zi Pepino balm
5/8 Bema De Vergulde Hand homemade boar You guys must be getting sick of this Bema by now. I finished it out on the Apache Red and I really like the edge off this stone. I cloned my bottle glass green brush this weekend and now have two identical other than color. I like these brushes and will do my lions share of shaving with them. Have a good one.
That is ONE beautiful boar brush! BTW: My Apache red should be arriving Saturday. I look forward to giving it a run!
Mastro Livi New Grind. And...The Veg. My wife just got mad and yelled at me for stinking up the place and went to bed.
5/8 Bismark Razor Works De Vergulde Hand homemade boar I have a couple of these razors, nothing fancy but excellent shavers. I finished it out on the Lowe's Mystery Hone and got a very decent edge on it and a fine shave this morning. Have a good one.
Freidel Koch one of a 7 day set 6/8 w/gold etch - This is one of my all time favorites Le Pere Lucien w/Tabac crème & glycerin - these two go together like peaches and crème, one of my favorite Ubes LaToja splash
Hayashi Mercury I was finally able to get a good edge once I went back to my Naniwas. Very hard steel.
Herman J. Herskovitz, born in Romania in 1870. Arrived in the states in 1886, naturalized in 1891; he gave his profession as 'businessman.' In 1920, he applied for a permit to visit England for 'business.' This possibly led to the sheffield razor connection. I've seen some of his razors listed with an 1890s date attributed, but I'm fairly certain the early 1920s is more accurate a timeframe. Seems he dealt not just in the business of razors (from a 1922 ad):
Joseph Smith & Sons near wedge 13/16. A very nice lil' razor is this one, comfy in hand and a nice smooth shaver too.
