    Menthol Monday

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Tech
    Blade: Blue Bird (day 3)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Proraso Blue
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Arko Ice Mint

More of a Mini Menthol Monday as I only used a mentholated AS...

Still enjoying the Blue Bird. I used about double the amount of cream needed for some silly reason... It did not hurt the lather in the least. After loading up my brush it felt like I was covering my face in a cloud.
There was not much stubble to contend with after yesterdays shave. The Blue Bird was able to get ma a near BBS with minimal effort and zero issues. Shave-wise to day is definitely a win!

Clear & cool here this morning, 8ºF/-13ºC on the deck at 06:00, maybe 50ºF/10ºC by this afternoon, but plenty of sunshine and no wind to speak of. Another excellent shave this morning - back with a couple of reliable ol' standbys in the Cella & Omega. The Savage is old and well-worn but extremely well mannered. Have a better Monday folks.

    11/17/2014 Menthol Monday!!

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Merkur 37C, French Fau Frame Back straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (3)
Brush: Black Badger from Ace Shaving
    Soap: Barbon shave cream
After: Home made ASB, Barbon after shave
    Cologne: Cuir Cannage

A cool Darn Fine Shave on this snowy morning. No nicks, no cuts and no errors. The badger whipped up the Barbon SC to a wonderful consistency. The 37C and the Frenchy did their jobs with ease. The Barbon AS brought a little more chill and the Cuir Cannage will have me smelling great all day.

    Have a blessed day!

    Menthol Monday

    Pre – Corn Huskers
    Soap – CO Bigelow
    Brush – Turkish #6
Razor – L3 SS Flair Tip
    Blade – Feather (2)
    AS – Skin Bracer

Tried the feather in my "currently" last razor. I can say that today's shave was the best I have had in my short 6 week traditional wet shaving career. BBS on checks and chin, with DFS everywhere else. Apparently the feather/SS combination is the ticket for me. I will certainly have a few packs of feathers on hand to use with my SS.

Today's shave was excellent, the Frost Factor was up. '47 Super Speed may be the best SS of all. Outstanding BBS on two passes. Rather than rotating razors daily, I will use each for a week from now on. Have a great week folks!

    Menthol Monday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
Soap: Ginger's Garden Grass Stain Menthol Snow with clay and mango butter
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (5)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (11, 12)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS splash
    Cologne: Xeryus by Givenchy

I intended to change out the Bic blade in my razor yesterday - or this AM - before shaving, but I simply forgot. As a result, even the wonderful lather from the Ginger's Garden soap - which I find slicker on the shave, if ever-so-slightly less impressive on post-shave than the RazorRock - could not keep me from catching a weeper on the XTG pass, and noticing more irritation. As a result, I cut the shave short at two passes, with DFS results and a frosty Ice Blue aftershave.

That aftershave bottle is way to fantastic not to remark, I love it. And Feathers are amazing! Certainly a favorite, they're sharp, consistant, and reliable. That bottle is so cool :)

Well I did manage to get a cut on my head the other day. Got a nasty little slice that has to heal up, lesson learned - Never get over confident in your shaving skills. I still wanted to clean up my neck and around my beard so I lathered me up some Nivea. Not a bad shave. That is some decent cream and I was able to use Speick with out drying my skin out.

Thanks. Unfortunately my local supplier stopped carrying the bottles. I can buy 1 for 3x the cost on amazon or buy 18 for about the same cost I was paying from a distributor ...that's all I need is further justification for my AD to try and fill all 18 of them......

    Hi together,

my first Monday shave after a long long time...yesterday i had no time for shaving, so i did it moments ago.

    Soap: Tiki Fougere
    Brush: Scott Pavkovich "Chief"
Razor: Frankenrazor (EJ DE89 Top Plate, Fatip Grande Base Plate and my Toro Mastiff Handle)
    Blade: HEMA
Aftershave: Aqua di Parma Aftershave Balm (Sample)

A nice shave. The soap has left a tiny bit of a burning sensation on my skin. Not for long, but noticable for a few minutes...strange...but ok. The shave was good. I love the brush deeply. Soft, soft soft tips. Awesome!!! I received a sample of the Aqua di Parma Aftershave Balm from a member in our German Forum. Nice scent and fantastic skin care. I think i have to buy it. ;)

Have a great time, have fantastic shaves and take care.

    Greetings
    Thorsten
