Okay. Belgium. (no HHGTTG pun - this time). Belgium is a somewhat complex country. Here's the simplified version:

    Location
Belgium is a country situated between The Netherlands (north), France (south), the North Sea (west), Germany (east) and Luxembourg (south-east).

The northern part of Belgium is called 'Vlaanderen' (Flanders). The southern part is called 'Wallonië' (Wallon)

    BelgiumMap4'.GIF

    People
'Vlamingen' (Flemings) live in Flanders, and speak a Dutch dialect called 'Vlaams' (Flemish).
'Walloniërs' (Walloons) live in Wallon and speak a French dialect 'Waals' (Wallon).

I'm leaving a lot out of it to keep things somewhat comprehensive.

    Furthermore:
Dutch people come from The Netherlands and speak Dutch
Danes live in Denmark and speak Danish
German people live in germany and speak German
It's the lemmings which are supposed to jump off cliffs. But that is a misconception.

    remember to take notes!

I cannot stop thanking my dear friend Ryan for this wonderful MITA soap which he sent me a year ago - in fact he was the one who got me started on Rod's soaps which have become my favourites. It gave me such awesome lather, with plenty of menthol delight and brilliant skincare which is so important after a shave. The Gold Bond moisturizer always delivers on the cooling and soothing for my sensitive skin, and when I slapped on the Barbon my face stung for a second, but then it froze the way I love it. What a great shave this was. ;) :D

Have a nice weekend, folks! :)

    Prep: Shower
Lather: Old Spice cream (G-12 scuttle)
    Brush: Vie-Long 13061M horsehair
    Razor: Weber PH
Blade: Persona (grocery store - made in Israel)
    Post: Old Spice classic

Woke up thinking about shaving, again. So I soaked my brush and got after it. The Old Spice cream was as good as ever, the Weber razor was outstanding as usual, the grocery store blade was smooth as silk and the aftershave splash was bracing with absolutely no sting. The scuttle will be moved into storage for the month of December as I have it on good authority that a new apothecary shaving mug will be coming my way tomorrow. I love the warmth of the scuttle, but I use it mainly to soak my brush, so a new mug will take up less space and serve the same purpose and I will get back to face lathering.

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Tech
    Blade: Treet Platinum (day 2)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Soap: Musgo Real Lavender
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Dove Men hydrate+

Running a little behind this morning so it was a "quick" shave.

I was planning on using a different shave cream but didn't bother to turn on any lights when I grabbed the sample container. The Musgo Real Lavender was a nice surprise. The lather was thinner than I like and I did not some unpleasantness on my jaw line.

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Fat Boy (3), Dubl Duck Goldedge straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (5)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: L'Occitane - Cade
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave
Cologne: Prada - Amber Pour Homme Intense

A Darn Fine Shave. The #6 whipped up the Cade to a wonderful lather. The Fat Boy paired with the Astra and the Duck made quick work of the stubble. The AV brought the chill and the Prada will have me smelling great for the rest of the day.

    Have a blessed day!

I don't use the boar brush very often, but it is an Old Spice, and I use everything I have. So I whipped up the Barber Shop, nice scent, in my favorite Old Spice mug. The brush has lots of backbone and is not as easy to paint my face as my badgers. WTG XTG on my face an neck on 5 ATG on my neck on 3. Quick close shave today an out the door. Have a good one.
