Have any of you tried these? What kind of experiences have you had with them? I used my first one this morning and it was a bloodbath.

I quite like the Treet Platinum, myself; for me, in a fairly mild OC (Merkur 41c) it produces a smooth, comfortable shave, with a better post-shave feeling than I get from Shark SS or other SS blades.

I am about to try one tonight! I tried the silver's last night - bbs but, took an extra pass. I used a new Mühle R89 so my technique could be somewhat suspect.

Tried some from a sample pack..one shave and then tossed.

Just not for me. However, could be someone's favorite. :)

I used one this morning in a Schick Krona. Even though the Krona is a very mild TTO, I tried "riding the cap." The result was irritation free BBS.

I am at the point where I believe improper angle of attack was responsible for most of my early rough shaves. Dropping the angle (raising the handle closer to the perpendicular on the face) has really smoothed out my Utopia. It seems to me that blade selection matters less than when I used a more "traditionally oriented" higher angle grip. I am seeking to drop down into the 20-30 angle range against the skin. I feel it makes the blade "cut" the hair instead of "scraping" it off my face. The amount of pressure I am able to apply downward against the skin would be irresponsible to describe to a brand new DE shaver. I am getting to DFS+ in 2 passes now with very minimal irritation. (I realize I just tossed some orthodox advice, and said I was applying pressure.)

    Ymmv ymmv ymmv ymmv!

I like them fine for one full head and face shave. It's pushing it to try for two. I would compare the performance (for me) to the Astra SP, but I get 2 - 3 full head and face shaves from my SPs.

In realistic terms, what constitutes a blood bath? I have been shaving for a few months and I really don't know. The only time I see any blood at all was in the very beginning and badly dragging the razor sideways. Even that caused a small nick that might result in a drops worth of blood.

I use them in my Merkur progress and they are great but not so great in my 64 slim. My Utopia likes Supermax Platinum but they are terrible in my progress. So far the only blades I can't find a razor for are Dorco!
My advice is buy them and if they don't work in your razor the go on a mission to find a razor that they work in☺️
Enjoy the journey, in life and shaving!

Try a NEW. I had a great shave recently with an ST-300 in my NEW LC. One and done, but that one was really good.
