11/26/14 Prep: hot shower Lather: Old Spice cream Brush: Omega 10066 Razor: Gillette New SC Blade: Personna (3) Post: Old Spice classic aftershave 3 passes on my face and 2 on my scalp. This morning's shave was just fine with no nicks or weepers at all. Got a little overconfident with my lather making and had some airy and dry lather for pass 2, so just added a bit more cream and more water and rectified that situation just fine.
The only difference between the blades is that the older ones came with an inner transparent wrapper and an outer Blue wrapper, whereas the newer ones only come with a whitish single wrapper. They have eliminated the outer Blue wrapper with the name of the blades.

I've been using more aggressive razors of late. took me a minute to figure the mild hd. three passes for just a good shave, not my normal great shave. good enough, finished with old spice. hope y'all did as well, or better.

Wednesday hot shower Grooming Co. synth brush Myrsol Emulsion PPB La Toja (stick) iKon SC 102/Gillette 7 o'clock Green Permasharp Stainless (2)---Great shave as always with this razor,BBS face and dome!!! cold water rinse Monster Block Alum cold water rinse Tend Skin The Rub mixed with a pea sized amount of 444 Amouage Jubilation XXV First go around with the Grooming Co. synth, same bristles as Plisson but at a 25mm,50mm loft.More backbone than the L'Occitane, this is like a synth version of a Chubby, more for face latherers than bowl.First pass I had some trouble finding the splay point, but once I did,I got a nice lather.I'll need a few more shaves but honestly I think the L'Occitane is the better brush, more instant gratification,it's also softer. However if you want a face lathering synth with backbone, this is the brush. One thing I ordered a black and white swirl handle and what I got was a mocha swirl, not a deal breaker for me and it says on the site that some handles come out mocha. Stay frosty,my friends!

WEDNESDAY My schedule is all messed up this week—odd hours during the Thanksgiving week. Our prayer room is open a good part of the week, meaning the staff's hours are varied from the norm. I find myself up at 330am; going to bed@11 (shaving at night). All will be back to norm after tomorrow. Had a very nice late night shave last night, however, despite being bleary-eyed. Have a great Wednesday, all!
Odin's Day: Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal cleanser TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm Brush: Simpsons 56 Best Badger Soap: RazoRock One-X Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC Blade: Big Ben Super Stainless (3) Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (6, 7, 8) Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange Better prep, with a better brush and better (for me) soap led to a much better start to my shave today, compared to yesterday. Got off to a late start shaving due to winterizing the house just in time for the snow we're getting. Unfortunately, I could literally feel the Big Ben SS die on the ATG pass against my Adam's Apple, so my BBS shave wound up with some irritation on the Adam's Apple and in the goatee area.
26 November Shave The Omega Pro 49 worked up a really good lather with the Mama Bear's Czar's Choice (initial batch 2011). This has a very strong Cilantro scent that will definitely arouse the senses. The fragrance of Czar's Choice works very well with the Mama Bear's Spicy Lime. The Short Handled SA with the Big Ben behaved flawlessly. Two pass BBS. A really good shave this morning. @richgem do you remember posing for the soap label?

Wednesday morning - Prep - Noxzema & hot towel Lather - PannaCrema San Francesco & suribachi Brush - Baton 105 w/ 24mm 2-band Fan @ 43.5mm Razor - Garland Improved Eagle 5/8 2 pass Warm water rinse & cold water splash Alum block & Witch-hazel AS Cool & clear again here this morning, 21ºF/-6ºC @ 06:00, 55ºF/13ºC this afternoon with a light 10 mph breeze. A great shave with the Garland, and the PannaCrema was excellent as well. The Baton Fan has really become a favourite brush - wonderfully soft yet still firm enough with the dense knot set low. Have a good 'un folks and safe travels & felicitous gorging to all Thanksgivers.
The goose has landed... This is just a quick pic for the thread. I will post a review once the shave is complete...later tonight. This thing is stunning, and top quality. I feel a razor reduction sale coming...
