    December 3rd shave

Had a great shave. I haven't used my Edwin Jagger for a long time and it has become quite apparent that my technique has improved a lot since i last used it.
One thing i learnt from no variation november was to load my brush for a lot longer and this gave me a wonderful rich, creamy lather from the Cella.
    Razor Edwin Jagger DE89
    Blade - Wilkinson Sword
    Lather - Cella
    Aftershave - Clubman Special Reserve
Brush - Whipped Dog 22mm Silvertip [IMG]

Thanks for the well wishes my friend.

This little bug has been in me for far too long and keeps coming back for more. Rest is the order of the week. 4 weeks of IV antibiotics hopefully will get rid of it.

An early shave this morning, but an excellent one. 30ºF/-1ºC at 04:00, light snow and maybe a little sun later on in the day, 50ºF/10ºC this afternoon. I'd forgotten how peaceful it can be in the wee hours, everything's so still and quite. Grabbed the Rodgers this morning and made an all veggie lather with the Valobra & SOC. Outstanding lather and a bee-ee-yutiful shave all the way around. Have a good 'un folks, and Pray for Snow :smiley respect::smiley respect:

    A Tale of Two Shaves
Taken separately, my face and neck tell very different stories. My cheeks feel great, seemingly impervious to any razor or blade - they always come through without weepers or irritation.
My neck, on the other hand, is much more temperamental, requiring the lightest touch and slightly different techniques for different razor and blade combinations. Sometimes, the same gear will get a different reaction from one day to the next. Today was no exception, my neck is tender from a bit too much touch up, while my cheeks feel as good as ever. Krampert's helped put out the fire for now, but I've got to keep searching for the best way to care for my neck.

    Prep: Proraso Green pre barba
    Soap: B&M Dickens
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Personna lab blue (2)
    AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite

Here's another cream I've been neglecting like a dummy - the Williams Menthol smells so nice and lathers so easily with a great cooling sensation. It also gives a lot of skincare which is so important after a shave. It also seems to be discontinued much to my chagrin. The Gold Bond moisturizer is so cooling and soothing, and if one has sensitive skin then this is the ticket. The Barbon aftershave is another great face-freezer with a nice scent and very skin-friendly. What a super-duper and enjoyable shave this was. ;) :D

    Jack Black Cooling aftershave gel

3 passes. The Ladas blade started tugging during pass 3. I thought that was pretty quick until I recalled that I had a head shave with it yesterday and those tend to run me through a blade pretty quickly. Trying the Jack Black aftershave gel that my Secret Santa sent me.

    Personna 74 blade
    CO Bigelow SC
    Plisson/L'Ocitanne brush
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel/Sage mix
    CO Bigelow 1585 cologne

Moved the Personna 74 from the Grip model to the G8. Shouldn't have, think I messed it up cuz my shave was pretty rough. Live and learn I reckon. New blade/razor tomorrow.

yes, it was in my mailbox when I was leaving for the airport to go on a business trip. I couldn't just leave it home and wait, so I brought it along and bought blades at Walgreens at my destination. It is batch 3, and I'm not sure of what metal it is to be honest. They sell out so fast, I bought it without looking at the listing :)

The ribs in the Stealth handle are really deep. It makes it have excellent grip, but it isn't the most comfortable. I liked what someone else did putting O-rings around them.

I will get a better feel for the razor when I can get home and use a Feather blade.
