I got an old, worn out brush some years back. The hairs in the knot were brittle and only the ones around the edge remained. The middle of the knot was bare. The wooden handle had some leftover paint here and there. So when I visited The Golden Nib a few weeks back to order a knot for another handle, I ordered a new knot for this one as well. Since the original knot measured 18 mm (set deep in a metal ring) and the only 18 mm knot TGN offered at the time was a boar knot, I took that one. I sanded the handle to bare wood and then had to decide what to do with it. One color (and which?) or more? Or just laquer? Then I decided to make it a special project. Painted the thing and glued in the knot. I'm completely satisfied by the results! Now all I need to do is to check how she does. Tomorrow... But now without further ado..... I present to you....... The Evil Minion Brush! TADAAAAA:
Lovely Minion you have there!!! I hope it serves you well, probably the cutest brush I've seen. Hope I don't loose Man points for confessing that?!
