help with identification

    This is my dads razor not sure of the year or what type of gillette been tring to clean it up this is what I've done so far

    Looks like a 1946-1949 Gillette Ball End Tech.

    They didn't have date codes for this time period and I have one just like it but yours is much nicer.

    Looks like a ball-end tech...plenty of great shaves still left in that razor. Good job on the clean up. Let us know how you like it...

    Oh I will I've still got some gunk probably left by the razor and some left on the comb any suggestions as to how to get it off I've scrubbed it with a toothbrush but its stubborn

    It was pretty bad a lot of gunk and tarnish I used baking soda and water and a little dawn dish soap

    Scrubbing bubbles and a good hot water soak should hopefully help.
