If you guys want to know about intense menthol, then come and see me - it'll be my pleasure to teach you. Let's start with this Gatsby facial wash - it has plenty of the cold stuff in it and it cleans and refreshes the skin beautifully. Next up is the Glacial Obsidian soap - wowwwwww, a strong black licorice scent and a frigid wallop which hits on contact and causes tearing eyes and a runny nose. Lots of rich, slick lather and awesome skincare as well. Then we have the Gold Bond moisturizer which is scentless and so cooling and soothing, and last but not least the Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel - man oh man, this stuff beats the Rubby Dubby Doo in menthol power! ;) :D

    Nivea Men's Face Wash
    Proraso Green Shaving Soap
    Vie-Long Horse Hair
    '62 Gillette Slim
    Feather Hi-Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Vie-Long Horse Hair Brush. Two passes with my '62 Gillette Slim and Feather Hi-Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vegetal after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This is my first time using the YUMA. I have had it for years in a box, but I have never used it. We shall see how it does.

    Shave of the Day

    Early Monday Menthol Morning

    Music: Beck "Unforgiven"
Prep: hot bath, Shea black African facial soap, The Shave Den Shop's Iced Subzero
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Empire 7 Day
Blade: Wilkinson Sword Wedge, Monday blade
    Brush: Rubberset 400-4 Silvertip
    Lather: De Vergulde Hand
Shave (blade exposure): 3 passes; WTG (75%), XTG (50%), ATG + Cleanup (50%)
Post: Cold water, Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue splash, Axe Chill gel

Hadn't done a Menthol Monday in forever so I did one early this morning before I went to bed. Couldn't sleep, so shaved at 1 AM.

Had fun with the cooler than cool Wilky on the Monday blade, stropped 20 times. Sharper than any blade I've ever used in a safety razor hands down. Makes a Feather look like a Derby. He he he

De Vergulde Hand once again gives thick lather that seems to just melt hair off my face. For me it does anyways.

Classic AV and new school Axe to numb and tighten. Great shave and it was fun too!!

I haven't checked every post but it seems you've been using both the Veg and a Feather blade for several days in a row. Is it safe to say you've made some new friends?

    Menthol Latha Monday
Another excellent shave with Latha. I think B&M just owned the frugal shaving demographic, with this combination of tallow and argan oil. Slick and easy with a pleasing powdery floral scent. The AS matches perfectly and provides additional skin care.

It’s a new week! I’m feeling refreshed from the great weekend I had. If you were on the fence about seeing Big Hero 6, go check it out. It’s a cute, feel good kind of flick. And it’s been out a bit so you shouldn’t have to deal with throngs of kids trying to see it LOL
