Gillette NEW, common bar handle Stirling's Road to Elba Vie-Long Horse hair brush Robert Becker Scuttle Zirh Erase Tonic It was everything but a good shave. Seemed like nothing went right. I think I've been really getting hooked on SE razors lately - the Gillette NEW just didn't feel 'right today' In addition to that Stirling's Road to Elba is, to me, just not a very good soap - scent, performance/lather, protection, appearance - it just a 'mess' to me and I normally love Stirling's soaps My new Vie-Long brush felt floppy and scratchy. Not a pleasant brush to work with. Odd water retention and didn't splay right. Thank heavens I paid three dollars for it Oh, well - good news...there's always next shave.

12/8/2014 Prep: Hot Shower - Razor: Merkur 41C 1904 OC Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Sharp Edge Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip Soap: Proraso Green AS: Barbasol Pacific Rush (they must mean the Pacific near the Aleutian Islands!)- Great stuff if you like menthol! Next shave with the Merkur 1904 and the 7 O'Clock SharpEdge blade. I've decided to change the blade tomorrow back to an Astra SP. Either this razor is just too mild for me or the blade just doesn't work for me, I can't tell. Again, today the shave felt nice and close. But a brush of the hand ATG tells me otherwise. I look OK, but there's still stubble. Tomorrow will tell...

Ohhhhhhhh boy, Yeti ain't strong - it's POWERFUL, but Obsidian is even MORE powerful. It made my face sting after the second pass and my eyes were crying "tears of joy!"
