Bought my first Fatboy for $40. Thought I'd needed to find out first hand what all the hoopla around this razor is all about
It's not in the best of condition - numbers are missing some paint, supposedly some plate loss on the head, soap/dirt on it - but it apparently functions great and I guess if I really like it then $40 is not too bad a deal for it....if I don't like it maybe I'll get about the same if I sell it off.

I absolutely agree. Had I been more of a collector I would had gone for the shiny ones in case for $100.
Since I prefer to shave with mine I thought this was an ok price point for a user.

I have and really love a Slim so I am very curious to see if there's any real difference between the two...

A rare German Art Deco, "Otto Deutsch & Söhne 'Hans'" straight razor, made by the Bresduck company (1930–1952, Trademarks: Dubl Duck, Lifetime, Napoleon, Beau Brummel, Deutsch, Satinedge). I finally found one that looks to be in excellent condition. Two of my current favorite shavers are my Beau Brummel & Goldedge—and I'm hoping this one has a similar feel.
