He's talking about this post, I think. http://www.badgerandblade.com/vb/showpost.php?p=447872&postcount=2 I'm about as subtle as a rhino. Gotta give me an "A" for effort though.
Ok, just that Bill, you have to give us a synopsis of each blade pictured on this thread! I really like the one in the second picture (of three) with the butterfly inlay. I revise my guess: 2, 16, 8, 12, in descending order. So when's the big reveal??? Egads, I hope I don't straight RAD like this. I had it bad enough with DEs.
Of the razors in the pic, it's #3. The hot pink one. There is an image of a sail boat passing in the area of a lighthouse. My reference book says that there is only one known razor like it. I must have the second and it is in super shape. It is not a fake, reproduction, nor has it been tampered with. #1, #2, #4, and #6 are considered pretty rare. Every one of the 20 razors is worth over $135 in the shape they are in. Eventually they will make it to my web site to be sold. I goofed on the price of the aluminum one. Without really looking at it, I was thinking it was a different razor that was worth nearly $400. #15 is worth more than that, but still not as valuable as the other 4 I just listed.
Got in on this late, but I assumed it was one of the razors that was not touching another razor... A razor worth that much would have it's own cushion of air around it.
Wow! Nice. Thanks Bill! Have you contacted the author of your reference book? Also, where do you get collectibles of this caliber?
