Necessity is the mother of invention, and hot glue is the father in this case.

It's a plastic nut jar cut open with an SE blade, then glued into an old soap tub. Should hold up until I can get some epoxy putty to make it permanent. Ugly? Yes. Tacky? Probably. Utilitarian? That's what counts. ;)

    Nothing wrong with that! :)

Why, if it weren't for hot glue, most of us would never be able to fly home for the holidays!

True but my problem is, there's a klutz who uses my bathroom and my razors and my brush. This chump occasionally knocks the brush over when it's standing on the edge of the tub...stone tile floor, so I don't want the brush chipped or cracked (it as a gift from someone here). His kids come in to use my bathroom, too, getting into all sorts of mischief, and they're just as klutzy as he is. So a stand will hopefully make them more aware of its presence.

This is a picture of my DIY shaving stand. It took me and my uncle a few hours to complete it, but the result is quite nice. It has a rotating base and accommodates 4 brushes and 2 razors. The brush hangers are made from twisted metal collar stays
