Necessity is the mother of invention, and hot glue is the father in this case. It's a plastic nut jar cut open with an SE blade, then glued into an old soap tub. Should hold up until I can get some epoxy putty to make it permanent. Ugly? Yes. Tacky? Probably. Utilitarian? That's what counts.
Nothing wrong with that! Why, if it weren't for hot glue, most of us would never be able to fly home for the holidays!

True but my problem is, there's a klutz who uses my bathroom and my razors and my brush. This chump occasionally knocks the brush over when it's standing on the edge of the tub...stone tile floor, so I don't want the brush chipped or cracked (it as a gift from someone here). His kids come in to use my bathroom, too, getting into all sorts of mischief, and they're just as klutzy as he is. So a stand will hopefully make them more aware of its presence.
