One of these days I think I'm going to have to pick up a Slim or Fatboy. The more you people write and post pics of them, the more interesting they become.

Slims are relatively inexpensive and plentiful.

You really should. The only razor that competes with the Fatboy for me is my new R41. Only two shaves in, but I think I may still like the wide open Fatboy more.

Would that be Capt. Murphy? And did I see that he does it for free?

I really like how my Fatboy shaves but I keep wishing the handle was just half an inch+ longer.

Thanks for the tip. I am putting it in the mental Rolodex. I will message you when/if I find the one I think should be restored. Yours basically photographs as if it were a new razor. It looks really good.

Well all three makers (Gillette, Schick and ASR / Personna) began to make twin edged injectors and twin edge double edge razor blades at the same time around the very early 1970s.

Most just were abandoned in the move to cartridge razors. I used a Gillette Twin Edged Injector in the Schick J3.

See more here about the second shave...

Today I leanred that it's a good idea to remember to change your blade out once in a while. Oops!

Today I remembered that the downside to working through a blade sampler is finding a brand that is not a good match. Some are good, some are great, and unfortunately some are awful. YMMV etc.

Today's lesson: LPL is a great soap! If your on a budget or have deep pockets this soap is priced for you. $13 100gram refill. RazoRock Stealth Slant, 2 shaves in and I'm in love with this razor!

Great, great shave today - a lot of new experiences but it all came together beautifully.

    I 'learned' that;
    - my Ranger Tech '41 razor might become one of my 'top three' razors. I don't know what it is..but that razor is incredible,
    - First time trying Myrsol aftershave (Agua Balsamica) and I all I have to say is "Wow". I learnt that I might have an empty wallet soon.
    - First time trying Nancy Boy shaving cream. Loved the scent and performance. A really great cream from right here in San Francisco.

It's one I'd love to have, there's just something about it.

Although I'm still shaving with a disposal until my Jagger gets in I learned it's always good to take your time. First time in awhile I've been able to shave my head and not cut the mole on the back of my head

It's been a little crazy on the bay recently. I'm hoping for Christmas but the price shot up from 25-30$ to 45-60 for slims. . I'm going to keep waiting :)

I've learned that I prefer injectors to DE's. I have some nice DE's and just got one of the new Phoenix OC razors that I tried this weekend. It's a nice shaver but, for me, the injectors just give a better, smoother shave
