This was good for what it was...mindless and well...mindless :)

This was a great, British gangster flick!

Glad you like it. I am planning on watching it tonight. I like Kevin Smith, you never quite know what kind of film you are going to get.

So the wife wanted to see a film the other night. Something quiet no action, no Sci fi or horror. I chose
    Saving Mr Banks

Aka the saddest, most depressing film ever made.

Can't explain why without giving away the plot.

I think anyone with half a heart would be moved by it. But if you are a Dad with a daughter the same age as the character, then it is especially heartbreaking to watch. The uplifting ending, for me, didn't make up for the misery that proceeded it. I cried like a baby. Afterwards I went and watched a couple of hours of South Park to try and feel normal again.

Can't believe I've never heard of - or seen - this one.
A SciFi flick from 1995 with quite the star studded cast

    Not too bad...a solid 6/10.

Of the 12 or so Christopher Lee Hammer films I've seen, this has got to be his most evil character. Still a rather cheesy movie with a totally lame ending tacked on. I would give it a 4.5 out of 10. He's done better.

Pretty hilarious movie if you like the duo. It reminds me a lot of Pineapple Express with a lot of good one liners you have to watch more than once to get them all.

Watched Tusk. I really liked it. It is a very different film but good.
Just saw Godzilla which was good but not brilliant. Mainly cos you don't really care too much for the main characters.

10 years since this movie came out and I remembered seeing it years ago as I re-watched it last night.
    I still liked it.

Blitz. I watched this movie early this morning (1am) while everyone was asleep. I had to keep the volume way down in fear of waking up the wife, since it's a Britsh film it was hard to understand what was being said. I'll need to rewatch this one again.

Took the wife and my daughters to see Into The Woods. They loved it. I hated it. I told them my root canal was a more enjoyable three hours.

I watched Interstellar, with Anne Hathaway, and Mathew McConaughey. We liked it... needed to majorly suspend disbelief, and it was L_O_N_G!

Although not a movie, the Sy-Fy Channel's New Year's Marathon of the Twilight Zone starts today. That was some of the best (if not the best) writing in television history. Rod Serling was a genius!

My wife and I took our son to see "Undefeated" for his 16th birthday. It felt like a long movie and was a bit slow at times, but it was amazing to see what these men went through and survived. DEFINATELY worth seeing!! :happy088: It will make you proud to be an American and a Christian! And so damn HAPPY we live here..:)

"In Frozen Ground"- plodding, well acted police procedural. Based on a true story. Totally watchable.

Unbroken. Great movie about the cruelty of war and never giving up. Based on the book about Louie Zamperini.
