This shaver and I get along pretty good so far 3 shaves no blood. I believe it has to do with a posted conversation between Holy Rollah and David in central Florida in using the toe of the blade more, I was using the entire blade. Using the heel to shave S-N pass from Adam's apple to under chin...Thanks guys.
    Take care.

Nice shave this morning. I took a couple of days off to enjoy the Holidays. This our first Christmas without our kids being around but Sparky and my grand nephew more than compensated for their absence and provided plenty of entertainment.
There's a point in the life of a puppy and a young child when it's seems to click intellectually, we were at that point this weekend. Have a good one.

I noticed this morning for the first time that this is a heavy razor with a long cutting edge and the extended tang really is good at keeping water away from the scales and pivot area. Shoulderless razors are wonderful things. You can't beat the H.I.S. XL synthetic brush for holding water and picking up soap and making a great lather.

Oh I do dig them! :happy088:
My current favorite shaver is a large Wostenholm, recently refurbed a few weeks ago (see Here)
I've 6 or 7 of the Wostys waiting servicing, and have one on the work table now that I'm looking forward to using.

So I got 4 razors honned monday, this is the first one I tried.
A 4/8 Ern it was really Sharp and made short work of my whiskers.

After 2 passes already almost smooth, but enough lather to do a few more passes so I did a thirth one.
    So now extremly smooth.

I rehandled the knot from the brush in my last shave of the day (above). It seemed like a good idea at the time.
Very nice shave of the day this morning. Have a good one.

My one & only shave with this T. Hessenbruch as it is headed for Oregon in today's mail.
I had a very nice shave with it, though—but now that I've tried it, I'm sorry to see it leave so soon….:sad024:

I hastily ruffed up my face with my geo korn.
    I've been calling it a 5/8 half, but I think it's a5/8 full hollow.
haste and stubbornness should not be part of my shave ritual.

I've been digging the looks of those wide blades. 8/8.s,7/8
Seems like they would be nice.
gonna put one of those on my radar.

David, in the past I've tended to prefer narrower blades (6/8) and I've found some BIG blades to be more of a challenge to use comfortably. The blade pictured above (8/8 at the nose) simply feels smaller in use than some other 1" blades. Hard to explain how or why, but I really enjoy this one.

Since you shave with both W&B and Wostenholms do you find one to be more perfered?
