Thursday: hot shower w/Mistral Black Amber bar soap Homemade PSO Schick Adjustable (5) 2 passes Schick (1) VDH Deluxe boar Proraso Blue cream in a warm bowl Thayers unscented w/aloe HTGAM Cavendish AS First shave with a Schick Adjustable and it performed very well. It arrived yesterday in the mail and I had just enough time last night to clean it up and pop in a fresh blade. Set it at "5" this morning and had a very nice (but quick) two pass shave. I've also got some other razors coming in this week so maybe over the weekend I can take some pics and get them posted in The Haul. Outside temp as I type this is -1 F. Earlier this morning it was -5 F so it's warming up a bit.
Tabac soap Plisson synthetic brush Mongoose with Dr Bomber handle Feather Super Pro blade Nivea balm Tabac Cologne I didn't initially like the scent of Tabac. The more I use it, the more I love it now. I never found fault in the performance of the soap, however. It was exceptional from the first use. The Super blade made the Goose feel like an R41. I really felt the blade and had to be a bit careful, but got a "super" close shave.
Schick I1 razor Personna 74 blade (day 17) Colgate Cup Soap Vulix "Strand" boar brush Osage Rub/Witch Hazel/Sage mix Pinaud Clubman A/S Pulled the I1/Personna 74 out for 1 more shave. Came out just fine tho I had to do an extra pass to get the results I wanted. But still smooth and comfortable and I'm ready to go

Stay frosty,my friends!
Thursday 8th January Warm shower Hot towel Speick stick grated, scuttle lathered Finest Badger brush made by myself Gillette Superspeed (1947) Polsilver Super Iridium (2) Cold rinse Thayers Lavender witch hazel Speick aftershave It's a while since I used the Speick soap lovely slick lather. I used the last drops of the Lavender witch hazel. The Superspeed is the first model of this razor made in 1947, it has the 'wings' on the centrebar. Made the year before the notched centrebar came in for use with the dispenser packs of blades.

Thursday Prep: wash with glycerin soap Soap: Tiki Bar unscented Brush: Bethlehem olive wood, HIS knot Razor: Feather AS-D2 Blade: Super Iridium After: Cold rinse, shea butter Great lather from the Tiki soap. It is soft, pure white, and very neutral in scent, almost no smell at all. The lather was thick, creamy, and slick. Comfortable, smooth shave.
I love that brush. I just finished two of my own, but I don't have a lathe. What wood is that? The SS is my birth year. It's a fine shaver. I have one of those as well.
8 Jan 2015 Pre - Corn Huskers Soap - RR Zi Peppino Brush - WD Synthetic Razor- Rockwell/Frankenrazor (4) Blade - Astra SP (3) AS - Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve Used the WD synthetic for the first time. No issues at all whipping up a nice lather. Not as soft as the Plisson, but pretty soft with plenty of backbone. A DFS shave on face, ok on jaw line and neck. Getting proper angles in my trouble spots will take a lot more practice.
The brush handle is made from Zebra wood, thank you for your kind words I noticed your handles made without the use of a lathe neat The '47 SS is a nice shaver, easy to use no drama.
