THURSDAY Late posting of a pre-dawn shave: A nice three-pass shave with the 'Shorty' Larkin. I used up the very last bit of the a sample of Le Pére Lucien soap I had. If you enjoy using fine French-made soaps, I highly recommend the LPL. Comparable performance to MdC, but not as costly (100g, $22; 200g; $40) I'l be ordering a tin in the new future. Have a blessed Thursday, everyone!
I've always preferred color, ever since it was invented. I started taking pictures in black and white with my Brownie Starflash camera. I have geezer credentials!
Bama The slims are damn good shaver I also have a merkur progress adjustable the slim me to me is still a better shaver I found setting #6 worked for me for a every day setting.

You're digging deep and pulling out the big guns lately, that is a sweet looking Milord. You must be down to the fumes with the Frosted Woodlands.
I think I have it down now...the blades are good enough! The slim performs better for me with those blades when set to 5 or higher.
Thanks Guy! Yep, I'm getting deeper into my "Golden Oldies" run. I still have a few more to "go for the Gold" the rest of the week. I'm using those razors on my rarely used "Protected" list. I still have a few more shaves left with the Tiki Frosted Woodlands SC. I have been trying to use up some of the older SC's & SS's in my drawer (I have a bunch!) before they all dry up. I will be placing an order in the future and picking up some of these great artisan SC's. The Tiki FW is definitely on that list. A great scent and excellent performance.
Thanks Mark. Yes, the old Ranger Tech was the precursor to the Super Speeds and has that old school Gillette feel. Great shavers and the Milords are beautiful razors to have in your collection.
Razor Reveal Week - DAY 2 Today's razor of choice was the GEM 1912 I believe? gold tone with the art deco handle. This thing feels great in the hand, and has a very sturdy construction. The audio feedback is fantastic and now that I have found the correct angle and blade choice, I must admit that I'm enjoying some very nice shaves using SE razors. The scuttle and brush full of lather was brought to you by Catie's Bubbles Spanish Hoiday (Thanks Guy). I really enjoy using warm lather during the cold months, and the scent from this soap is great. I still have quite a few sample to work my way through, so I get to enjoy new razors and new soaps for the next couple days. It's good times... I hope you gents have a good one. = JR =
