This new year is now in full swing and here are my shaving plans for tomorrow morning! Menthol Monday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/7 AM day 7 Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Wintergreen WH Pour Un Homme de Caron EdT Oh man, am I ever going to have fun while freezing my face off - everything I'll be using is so intensely-cold. The Neutrogena facial wash is downright chilly with a nice scent, it leaves the skin feeling so clean and refreshed. The Glacial Lemon Chill is one of my top-favourite soaps because it smells wonderful, it lathers so easily, and the menthol effect pulverizes your face right away. This soap also has a perfect post-shave feeling which is so important. The Gold Bond moisturizer and the Glacial Wintergreen witch hazel are hard to match for frigid, comfortable skincare after a shave.
Monday's Nivea Men's Face Wash Cella Wild Cherry PTS Schick M2 Adjustable Personna Injector CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Rose Petal WH FD Old Spice AS The Cella Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Wild Cherry PTS Brush. Two passes with my Schick M2 Adjustable and Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Family Dollar Old Spice after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Evening shave for Tomorrow A 'Got-My-Attention' menthol shave using both TSD's menthol-laden pre shave balm and the Stirling ultra-'Cool' soap. I wasn't always a big fan of menthol, but I now find it a welcome addiction addition to the straight shave regimen. Three-passes left me with a tingly near-BBS face! Have a great Monday, all!

SOTD January 12, 2015 This is the 11th day of my 30-day adventure to improve my shaving skills using the Mongoose. Preshave consisted of a warm shower and face wash using Cetaphil Daily Skin Cleanser. I used my Kent BK4 brush and face lathered using Mike's Natural Soap and a few drops of glycerin. I used a new Feather Pro blade today on my two-pass shave - no nicks or irritation! I finished with Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel and unrefined shea butter. Happy Monday, everyone!

Menthol Monday, January 12, 2015 Gatsby Face Wash WD Synthetic Stirling Frozen Tundra Merkur 34C w/Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinum (2) Cold water, Stirling Glacial Wintergreen Splash, 444, Osage Rub W/X/A, touch up Another nice shave with the Gillette 7 O'clock SP. The Stirling Splash was BY FAR the coldest part of this shave. It was so overpowering I barely felt the 444.
Weber PH Bulldog Gillette Silver Blue Semogue BC Texugo Institut Karite Soap Alum Superior 70 After 10 days with the LC New, the first shave with the PH Weber yesterday was just as good and much longer lasting. I could have easily skipped the shave this morning. I gave it a quick single pass and was good.

But I've only got 1 or 2 more shaves worth left. Have to dig out another vintage soap. Have to think about which one though. Seaforth? Another Colgate? TJ Watkins? Renleigh? Gonna be tough to decide.

Lesson learned.
