Wow, Mike! How were you able to keep your lines during the shave and the sideburns even?! :lyrtuy5:

I've got a ball end tech just like that (1957). Do you find the handle VERY slippery?

Nice shave today. Glace Herbe (vetiver and menthol) is right in my wheelhouse. I really like this soap. Have a good one.

It obviously doesn't appeal to all noses. Perhaps just to those with ultra-refined olfactory sensibilities....:D
If one reads online forums when asked 'what does MdC fougére smell like?' you'll see a broad range of responses. Many positive, but some are quite harsh.
Almost 'Veg-like' in their disdain for the scent.

One of the secrets to MWF is to use it more often. The more hydrated the puck, the easier it is. If you come at a dry puck, one that has not got any internal moisture(throwing water on top of the puck for a few minutes prior to a shave doesn't count), you will have a more difficult time. If you set the puck aside for a few ays and it dries out a bit, it's harder to get a good lather. Not impossible, just harder, and more work.
I use a different soap every day, so with MWF I plan the shave a day ahead, throw some water on the puck the day before and cap it, and let it soak until the next day's shave.
Gobs of rich, slick lather on tap.

Thanks for noting Fine Platinum's ability to play well with citrus. I've tried this AS with a few different things (including citrus) and needed some encouragement.

Pour Un Homme de Caron EdT

Ohhhhhh, Cracky Wacky Ticky Tacky Jeff is going to freeze, and I mean FREEZE his pretty little face off tomorrow morning and he's going to have so much fun while doing so. Anyone who's tried that Neutrogena facial wash knows it's quite chilly, but the two main features of this shave are the Glacial Obsidian soap which becomes so cold on contact, and the menthol effect feels almost painful during the second lathering. The Anherb conditioner goes on really icy with plenty of moisturizing and soothing, while the Rubby Dubby Doo puts that final bone-chilling punch into the skin. A most enjoyable shave is on tap for Thursday morning! ;) :D
