I hadn't used Cella for quite a while and needed another excuse to combine TOBS Rose with something, so the combination seemed a natural. The Cella helps with the lack of slickness in the TOBS and adds a good deal of cushioning. This was a very pleasing shave.

    TOBS Rose
    Cella
    Slim Adjustable
    Voskhod Blade

Since I placed a large order on Russian blades I have switched to using a blade only two times and then throwing it out. Previously, I would use a blade three or four times. I hadn't thought that on the third or fourth shave the blade had dulled to a noticeable level, but I am getting better and more consistent shaves since I limited the number of times a blade is used.

From day one Ive used a blade twice, after nearly 37 years of horrible shaves with a cart I figured I'm worth 5cents per-shave.

+1 with Cinnamon Girl. Of the soap I have tried from Ian, this one is my favorite and have another puck in reserve.

    Warm shower
    Hot towel
    Strop Shoppe Vivace scuttle lathered
Finest Badger brush made by myself
Gillette Old Type ball end handle (1920's)
    Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus (1)
    Cold rinse
    Thayers Superhazel
    Myrsol Antesol aftershave

This razor was a wreck when I got it about 2 yrs ago. The handle threads were stripped and the Silver plating gone. My engineer friend made a replica threaded end and fitted it on the handle, even going better than original by threading the end piece into the handle tube. I then had the razor re plated in Silver as original.

With the drop of the ruble, blades are running about 6 cents each. I looked at my budget and figured out that I can afford 3 cents per day for great shaves.

Although I didn't think I would see any difference, for me there really is a big difference between three days per blade and two days per blade.

    Pre - Corn Huskers
    Soap - MWF
    Brush - Vulfix 660S Medium
Razor - L3 Super Speed Flair Tip
    Blade - Big Ben (2)
    AS - Aqua Velva

A very good shave overall. I think MWF is going to be used heavily in my rotation. I must have perfect combination of water hardness/softness, lather just explodes on me. The slickness and post shave feel is the best in my den at the moment. MWF, Cade, Tabac by far top 3 for me. As much as I want a jar of MdC and Mike's to round out my likely top 5, they have to go on hold until I use up other soaps, or they will never get used. After all I am in this to save money and not waste right? The big ben was smoother in the SS but not sure if it was razor or soap, probably both. Aqua Velva, for the price not bad.

This is a cool little razor. I have a few complimentary razors, but usually the vendor info is on the case. This is the first I have seen with the stamping on the razor itself. I like it. It shaves great, although it took a minute or two to find the sweet spot in terms of angle. But once that was dialed in, I was off to the races. 2.5 passes to BBS; two full face passes, and a third pass just on my neck.
As far as the soap goes, I really do not think that Razorock soap is for me. I realize that there is nigh universal love for the stuff, so I am going to blame myself rather than the soap. My mileage varies. Today, for the first time, I got a very nice lather out of it, but I was not blown away by the performance. I would score it a 3 out of 10. So not the best... I am going to try it one more time and then it is PIF city if my results are less than stellar.

    Frey's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Clean Gentle Scrub sleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Soap: Ginger's Garden Coffee Jasmine
    Brush: Simpsons 56 Best Badger
Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC Nickel
    Blade: Asco SS (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG(5, 6, 7)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange

The Simpson 56 was a real lather hog today, producing ridiculously thick, slick lather with the Ginger's Garden puck; when I squeezed out the lather from the brush for the ATG pass, I had some real Santa Beard action going on. That copious lather made it easier to push the Asco to 3 passes today, even if it's notably less sharp than it was out of the wrapper. BBS results without any bloodshed or real irritation (just some mild tugging).
