With the obviously high humidity in the bathroom, where is an appropriate place to store both active razors in rotation and razors & especially blades not in current use?

Mine are in boxes with desiccant packs in a closet. When I kept a couple straights in the bath they spotted and started to rust in no time

I keep my honed straight razors and my DE and SE blades in small modular drawer units on a shelf in the bathroom closet with some silica packets in the drawers. So far I haven't had any problem since the straights are oiled and in their boxes and the blades are not only wrapped but the drawers that they're in (while being in the bathroom) are kept closed up. I haven't worried about my active razors since they usually get cleaned, dried, and put away in another room when they're not in active rotation. Several of my razors are stored in a drawer unit on top of my toolbox in the mechanical room and a lot of miscellaneous gear is kept in my home office in various containers, in desk drawers, and on shelves.
I run the bathroom exhaust fan for at least fifteen minutes or longer after my shower/shave plus I keep the door open when the bathroom is not in use to provide plenty of circulation.
All of that being said, I have considered the idea of a cabinet specifically for hardware and software that I could have in a room close to the bathroom but in a drier environment.

The razor that's in use I keep on a shelf in my bedroom along with brush and soap. The other razors I store in a plastic box in my wardrobe.
I use a thin layer of mineral oil (liquid paraffin / paraffinum oil) to coat my straight razors and different parts of my DE razors (razor head, screw and handle inner ridge).

I have so much stuff it's scattered throughout my bedroom. For my razors, I keep them in a wooden rack. Blades are kept in a plastic bag, dresser drawer, plastic tub. I also have a nice cabinet that fell off the wall (was over loaded) that has all my daily gear, aftershaves, soaps, brushes, etc.. i don't leave anything in the bathroom because I have young grandbabies that visit often.

All my DEs and SEs ate on a rack in the bathroom. I've had zero issues.

Blades are kept in a cigar box with desiccant packs.

Str8s are kept in drawer in my bedroom.

My active razor is in the shower on a shelf. I keep a few blades in the bathroom. But the man cave has the inventory and the rest of the razors. I rotate out a razor and a soap just about every week so it's nice to keep them separate.

Because I have twin 4yo boys, I keep razor blades and pocketknives in a lockbox in the bathroom when I'm not using them. If I get a straight it's going in there too.

I have a shelving area in the bathroom. I put everything on those shelves. Not worried about rust in the desert.

Shelf in the bathroom. Humidity isn't an issue. The razor and blades are kept on a high shelf away from the grandson' s reach. He gets a taste of wet shaving by having his face lathered.

My bathroom is on the smaller side and tends to get and remain fairly humid.
To ensure moisture doesn't corrode my razors, I now keep my DE razors and straights in a drawer with desiccant packets.
I used to keep the majority of them on top on the vanity, but decided better safe than sorry and so built this to accommodate the lot: Click HERE to see!

In Denver humidity is no issue. I store my blades, soaps, AS, spare razors, supplies and such in a large toolbox in my bedroom closet. I only keep one set up out at a time.

Humidity is no problem in AZ, the opposite, dryness is. Like Bama I keep my razors in a large wooden Tool Box in the closet. Set ups on the bathroom counter. Lots of overflow in the Hall Closet.

If you're using desiccant packs, keep in mind that if you're not recharging them by drying them out, as soon as they get saturated they're worthless.

I just keep mine in a dresser drawer in a cigar box.

lol, I don't bother with desiccant packs for blades because I know I wouldn't recharge them.

I have a closet in my office I keep everything in there and choose the razor and software for the nights shave. Not because the swmbo doesnt like the stuff but because I like minimal

Interesting topic, and frankly one I hadn't given much thought to (at least with regard to rust, etc.) I don't have a large stock of blades, but if/when I acquire such, I may have to bring some of the desiccant thought process under consideration. For now I keep them in a closeted shelving area in the bathroom on a high shelf out of reach of my four year old just in case.
