Day 16 - Thirty Days with Merkur 34c (Jan 1-Feb 4 [No shave on Saturdays]) BSG 1-19-2015 Hot Shower and Prep - Neutrogena Men Invigorating Face Wash Razor Merkur 34c Blade Astra SP (4) Brush - Plisson Synthetic Lather - Poraso Green Post - Warm water rinse, Maggard Razor Alum, wait 30 seconds then cool water rinse, Neutorgena Men Razor Defense post shave lotion Two Passes WTG & ATG plus a few touch ups. Had to do quite a few touch ups on my neck and had one nick on my chin. - Alum and Styptic took care of it pretty quick. - Over all a good shave for the day.
lollllll My brother-in-law nearly collapsed when he tried shaving with my Obsidian - the poor guy couldn't even do one pass with it and I'll tell you something else, ALL the Glacials are cold like that - every one of them.
Day 19 BSG ATT S1 Kronos Rapira PL Plisson Cade Soap Cade Balm Been lazy posting. 2 pass DFS today. Nice and easy. No weepers and no irritation.
My planned shave for Tuesday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/new 7 AM Gada Cool Mint SC Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer Proraso Green AS Azzaro Pour Homme EdT True, this is a considerably less-mentholated group of items than what I used today but they're still pretty chilly - certainly chilly enough to satisfy my menthol cravings. The Gada Cool Mint cream is so darned cheap that even a pauper can afford to pay 1,95$ for a tube and it smells so nice, gives plenty of great lather with lots of chill and a most relaxing post-shave sensation. The Proraso Green aftershave was a great buy for just 15,00$.
Brush: Artisan Romera Chubby Rustic Bowl: Yoresh (Israel) Soap: TOBS St. James Razor: Fatboy w/Ladas Blade
Okay my first post on SoD, be gentle. Razor: Razorock Mission Blade: Rapira SS (2nd go-round) Soap: Cells (face lathered) Brush: Semogue 1305 Boar AS: Pinaud Clubman (2 handfuls) After a lousy day at work, I was looking forward to a steaming hot shower. Clubman shampoo, a generous dusting with Clubman talc afterwards. Shave was very close, but much more effort with Rapira vs. the Astra. Going to take it easy at TSD and if you smell that gool ol' barber shop aroma; that'd be me
Planned SOTD for January 20, 2015 I plan to continue with my current set up, as it is giving me great results. For the last few shaves, I have included an alum block in my post-shave, and it has improved the shave. Enjoy your tiwesdæg!
