1. SOTD, Wednesday 1/21/15

Continuing me "research" on the Rapira Platinum Lux blades. First 3 shaves were with a New Standard and were very close and fairly comfortable. But it didn't seem to last and I had a "5 o'clock shadow" at 3:30. :happy102: So, now we're changing to a new Rapira and a new razor, my Long Comb NEW. The Magagrd soap lathers so easily. In a matter of seconds I've got more than I need! It's great and the light citrus scent is pleasant. It's slick, but seems to dry out fairly quickly though.

Razor: Long Comb NEW ($9 antique shop find)
    Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux
    Brush: Semogue 1520
    Soap: Maggard Limes & Bergamot
    AS
: Barbasol Pacific Rush Same old stuff...I'm addicted.

  2. Charlie, thank you for your very kind words! :)
Actually, I am waiting on a new Shavemac Silvertip 2-Band knot to set into it. This WSP knot is quite nice, but it is a shedder and so I need to replace it. It is only temporarily set for now until the Shavemac arrives.

  11. After I finish my current 30-day adventure, I will move on to this setup. The two-band brush was made by Rudy Vey. I used the Feather straight razor for the first half of 2014, but I still have much to learn using it. Have a great day!

  12. Krampert's Day
I tried Krampert's Finest Acadian Spice Bay Rum soap today. It was also my first go with a Seifenglatt soap. I'll make a full review after a few more uses, but I will say this is legit. The scent matches the excellent aftershave, and the post shave feel is excellent. My face is smooth and happy. Lather was easy to build, slick and lasting.
