1/27/2015 Tobacco Tuesday!! Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO Razor: Cobra, French Fau Frame Back straight razor Blade: Feather Professional Light (11) Brush: Turkish #6 Soap: DR Harris - Marlborough After: Home made ASB, Verdon after shave balm Cologne: Akthar Noir A comfortable 2 pass shave today. The Marlborough was whipped into a great lather by the #6. The Cobra and the Frenchie did their job very well. That Feather Pro Light blade is still going strong. My skin soaked up the Verdon moisturizing balm and left my face feeling good. The Akthar Noir will have me smelling good for the rest of the day. Have a blessed day!

Sorry guys. I meant to post this yesterday. Today's shave to follow... I know very few agree with me on this, but I find I can get as good a shave with some old carbon blades as anything else. As long as they've remained unopened, completely sealed, old Gillette Thins and Schick Kronas, aka "Black Beauties" work excellently for me. Rooney Heritage Stubby 3 Mitchell's Wool Fat B3 Gillette Redtip Super Speed NOS Gillette Thin blade Three passes then... Floid Blue AS
I take back every nice thing I said about this shave. My face is so messed up today I look like I have Shingles.
TUESDAY Menthol Shave Early pre-dawn shave today—but it was a good one. The Valobra soap yields some really nice thick lather! Have a great Tuesday, all!

Thanks for the info on the blade. I've always wondered about the Supersteel and just ordered a pack to test.
I've always liked the Razorock soaps (good lather-ability and slickness), and the XXX scent I find reminds me of the 'old barbershop' scent from year's ago. It's not my favorite as far as scents go, but it is not objectionable. I'd use it more often—but it is painfully obvious I've too many soaps to choose from & some get neglected.
