Today's shave. Prep: hot shower, Neutrogena Face Wash. Brush: Burma Boar. Razor: '62 Gillette Slim set to 6 for the first pass, 3 for the second pass. Blade: SuperMax Titanium. Soap: Cold River Classic Savon No.1. Post: cold water rinse, alum, Fine American Blend. Later applied Myrsol Emulsion. This shave wasn't very good. I think the brush needs broken in more. We'll see if it is a good brush for me, or if it deserves a spot in the garbage can... either way it was only a $4 brush. The lather was off and it resulted in a few weepers on my upper lip and some burning on my throat area. I should have called it good after one pass.

I decided I will grow my mustache and goatee back after the great skunk incident of 2015. So I spent a little extra time making sure I have all the lines and edges taken care of.
1/27/15 Razor: Star Blade: GEM SS Coated Soap: Cella Brush: SOC Boar A/S: Provence Santé Body splash: The Veg The Provence Santé is a new product for me. So far I really like it. It has a very subtle scent and leaves the skin feeling great.

Shave of the Day January 28 Prep: splash of hot water Razor: Wilkinson Empire 7 Day Blade: Wilkinson Wedge, Tuesday blade Brush: Rubberset 400-4 Silvertip Lather: Stirling Naked and Smooth Shave (setting): 3 passes; WTG, XTG, ATG + Cleanup all at 90% exposure Post: Thayer's Rose Witchhazel, Stetson Aftershave
It shaves pretty good, as long as the blades are sharp. Mine are sharp enough for shaving but after the second pass start to lose their razor sharpness. Honing them would be a good idea but I don't have a hone and don't want to mess them up. The razor is very solid and heavy and nose heavy balance wise. It's one of those fun things to shave with really. It looks cool and whatnot. Thanks!

Here's what I'll be shaving with for Wednesday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/Dorco day 2 Godrej Menthol Mist SC Anherb AS Conditioner Alcolado Glacial Menthol Splash Grey Flannel EdT Truthfully and honestly I'm not one bit impressed with these Dorco blades - ok, I've used worse ones than them but I've also used much better ones so I'll see how far I can go with this one. The Godrej Menthol Mist IMHO is the best cream ever to come out of India. The scent is nice, the lather is awesome as well as so easy to work up, and the menthol sensation is terrific. The Anherb conditioner is so cooling and soothing so I'll use it again. Also, a good splash or two of the Penguin will end this shave on a frigid note. I'm sure I'll enjoy myself tomorrow morning.
