    TOBS Grapefruit
    Wild Cherry PTS
    Schick L-1
    Personna Coated SS Injector Blade
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Aqua Velva

The TOBS Grapefruit Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Wild Cherry PTS Brush. Two passes with my Schick L-1 and a Personna Coated SS Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal Petal WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Even with a 8 shaves on the Super Iridium blade, having a Palladium coating on the "refined" Fatip head does wonders on the Fatip head. I think the combination of refined Fatip OC head and the design of the handle, length and weight distribution provides a lot smoother shave than my Fatip Grande. With my Fatip Grande, two days was pretty much the max with inducing irritation but I think I could probably use this as a daily razor if I wanted too. Today was a two pass shave with no touch ups required. I should be receiving quite soon two other Palladium razors in the next day or two. They are not cheap but seem to be quite efficient and smooth shaving razors.

    Lavanille Wednesday
Superb shave today. Lavanille is my favorite scent of any soap I've tried, and it's lather is the equal of any as well. The lather monster and Der Vorschlaghammer combined to set up and knock down my stubble smoothly and easily. B&M Kyovu bay rum aftershave is an excellent product in its own right. I love the scent, and the tea tree oil and other ingredients treat my skin well.

    Prep: Kiehl's face wash
    Soap: B&M Lavanille
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Astra SP
    AS: B&M Kyovu Bay Rum

Le Grelot 68 Le Petit Coiffeur, 5/8 Quarter Hollow, Round Point

I like Le Grelot razors, including this "Le Petit Coiffeur", although not in perfect conditions - the one who owned it before I bought it did not a good job in honing, the point in particular - but it is however a lovely shaver. As for the soap, Martin De Candre is among my favorite ones and their "Fougère" fragrance is very charming. A good shave ended with my beloved Bay Rum, round and smooth, it has been the perfect companion.
    • Pre-Shave: Roberts Distilled Rose Water
    • Soap: Martin De Candre Fourgère
    • Brush: Omega Syntex 90081
    • Bowl: Gerby Bowl
    • Strop: Mastro Livi Loom Strop and Hand Palm
    • Razor: Le Grelot 68 Le Petit Coiffeur, 5/8 Quarter Hollow, Round Point
    • Post-Shave: Umbrian Extra Virgin Oil
    • After Shave: RazorGuy Bay Rum

3 passes. The Derby blade is better on shave #3 than it was on 1 or 2.

The Frank Shaving handle with the Whipped Dog boar knot works so very well for me. Great Williams lather and a very nice Hump Day shave

Today I used a Rapira Stainless blade, which was the only Russian blade I hadn't tried before. For me it is very hard to tell the difference between any of the Russian blades, but I do think that the prize for smoothness goes to Ladas and the prize for sharpness goes to Voskhod. I was apprehensive buying 650 blades without trying them first, but I am glad that I did. I could use any of the Russian blades with great success.

Today's shave was a 3 pass with between DFS and BBS results.

Was snowbound yesterday (but I shaved anyway, haha). Back to work today. This morning's shave was one of my better ones. Ogallala Bay Rum Soap, Edwin Jagger DE87 razor with Astra SP, homecrafted silvertip badger brush (with a little help from The Golden Nib). Post-shave was cold water, Thayer's Witch Hazel, finishing up with Ogallala Bay Rum aftershave. I'm still face-fondling here as I type this.

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Cobra, JR Torrey straight razor
    Blade: Feather Professional Light (12)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: Razo Rock - Neroli
After: Home made ASB, Verdon after shave balm
    Cologne: 007

An great shave on a cold morning. The Vie Long whipped the Neroli into a thick lather. The Cobra and the Torrey did their jobs admirably. The Verdon left my face feeling protected and the 007 will have me smelling good all day. All in all, it was a nice almost BBS shave.

    Have a blessed day!

    WEDNESDAY
    A Rare Sick Day
A bit of a stuffed-up head cold today & I'm medicated so I opted for an easier shave this morning: a round-tipped straight razor.
All & all, a comfortable shave thanks to the slick MWF lather and my slow, determined pace this morn.

    Have a great HumpDay, all!

I'm still trying to get used to a SE and I'm getting a little irritation. I must be messing up the angle or something.
