Yesterday's shave reaffirmed my belief that the lack of proper technique will result in a lousy shave even when you have the right razor blade, your lather is great and you are using your favorite razor. I can only assume that my technique was the issue yesterday because virtually everything else was right on target. My lather was good, the blade was good, and I was using my favorite razor. I usually get a single cut about every other month and a weeper about every week or so. Yesterday, I ended up 4 cuts and 3 weepers. The only explanation I can find is that my technique must have been poor. Today I used the same setup with the exact same blade and ended up nice and smooth without issues. I did limit myself to 2 passes today, so the finish is not excellent, but at least I have no wounds. French Soap Mix Sputnik Blade Slim Adjustable.

1/30/2015 30 Day - Shave # 29 Prep - Hot Shower Razor - Mongoose Satin B2 Blade - Kai Mild (4) Brush - Rubberset 400 with WSP HMW Lather - Soap Commander Confidence Post - Witch Hazel and CC Bay Rum AS Not feeling well yesterday so I just skipped the day shaving. This is the 29th shave of the 30 day January Focus. Had a very nice, nearly BBS, 3 pass shave today with very few touch ups. I plan on finishing up with this setup tomorrow before moving to the February Focus. Hope you have a great weekend.

I broke out the scuttle this morning. The Vie Long whipped up the Gondolier into a good and warm lather. The Cobra and the Duck did their jobs admirably. The Feather Pro Light blade is still going strong. The AV brought some chill and the Prada will have me smelling great all day. A nice Darn Fine Shave to finish of the week. Have a blessed day!
