Tuesday's Nivea Men's Face Wash Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap Jayaruh WC2 Synthetic Edwin Jagger DE89 CWR, Asma Alum Block Personna Stainless Thayers Lemon WH Aqua Velva This will be the third day of Loving the EJ DE89 Week after over a year of rest. The Van Der Hagen Deluxe Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC2 Synthetic Brush. Two passes with my Edwin Jagger DE89 and a Personna Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
I've got to disagree to a point. Although your points are valid, the new slants such as the iKon SC102 and the RRSS tend to be very forgiving, and efficient. I for one always had irration on my left side of my lower neck, since I've used the above slants that issue has gone away. Of course good prep, quality soap and solid technique all play a major role in achieving a great shave.
Tomorrow morning's fun: Tuesday: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/SuperMax Blue day 2 Italian Palmolive Menthol SC Gold Bond Moisturizer Alcolado Glacial Menthol Splash Fahrenheit EdT My wife told me "Jeff my darling, you're a crazy man for using so much menthol - one of these days your face will fall off!" She's right about one thing - when it comes to menthol, I'm crazy and I'm PROUD of it. The Palmolive Menthol cream is actually a little colder than the MITA soap I used this morning, although not by much. I love the scent of this cream, as well as the lather and the wonderful skincare it gives me. The Gold Bond is all set to continue the freeze, and the Penguin will just about numb me. I'm going to have another awesome, frigid shave for a day which is forecasting -27 Celsius early in the morning!
Monday Hot Shower Every Man Jack Face Scrub Anthony Logistics for Men Pre-Shave Oil Castle Forbes Lime Oil Shaving Cream Semogue 1305 Merkur 34c Crown Super Stainless Kyoku Razor Repair Balm So today I finally got to try my sample of Castle Forbes Lime courtesy of @Gilligan and Walter , thanks again! I really really love the smell of it and as I was face lathering the smell grew stronger and I just just enjoyed it very much. This cream has a thicker density than most of the creams I have, but not as hard as a soap. Is this considered croap? Anyhow it lathered up well and had a very slick feel to it. I like my lather just a tad on the thin side, and I had to add a bit of water to my brush to get the consistency I like. It really makes a thick creamy lather. This was my first shave with the Crown SS, and I think I would have enjoyed it even better if I had used a better blade. The Crown tugged a little bit, but I still got a good shave because the CF is very slick. My technique is really pretty good I think, and I am now very familiar with how the Merkur HD shaves, so even with a not-so-great blade, I am still getting decent shaves.
It smells a lot like their Palmer's Cocoa Butter formula, rather sweet(ish). No cloves. Nothing like Shave Secret, really. Also, Shave Secret is a bit more viscous. Ingredients Glycine Soja Oil (Soybean) , Isopropyl Myristate , Sesamum Indicum (Sesame) Seed Oil , Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oi , PEG 40 Sorbitan Peroleate , Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Fragrance (Parfum) , Benzophenone 3 , Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) , Benzyl Alcohol , BHA , Beta Carotene (CI 40800)
TUESDAY Evening Shave for Tomorrow Still using mega-menthol pre shave & lather because of my head cold and because it's still Monday. Three smooth, chilly passes with the Golden Duck led to a DFS! Have a blessed Tuesday, all!

Dieses Seifen ist glatt! I enjoyed my Krampert’s soap so much that I sought out more soaps from Seifenglatt. That search led me to Maggard’s, where they just happen to have some of this brand on sale. I snapped up Montpellier - described as grapefruit, cedar and ylang-ylang. I love grapefruit scents, which is strange since I hate eating the fruit. Anyway, the grapefruit does take the lead, but not in a sharp way, its almost creamy. I don’t know if I could recognize ylang-ylang, but it may be what makes this scent so good. My Brothers Bristles Beast Plisson easily whipped up plenty of yogurt lather. The soap seems to have a wide water sweet spot - I think I put in too much water at first, but with a little more loading all was well. Der Vorschlaghammer destroyed my stubble in pleasant comfort. I finished with Maggard’s London Barbershop AS, and my face feels great.
