1. Two BBS days in a row! This morning: Ray's of Colorado Bay Rum shave soap, Edwin Jagger DE87 razor with Astra SP blade, self-made silvertip badger brush. Post-shave was cold water, Thayer's Witch Hazel, followed by Afta aftershave.
  2. Preshave: Noxzema Original
    Preshave oil: Stirling Mentha oil
    Soap: Stirling Frozen Tundra
    Brush: Aos Gillette Chrome
    Razor: Ikon 102
    Blade: Wilkington
    Passes: 3 + clean up
Post: TSD Milk - traditional with menthol

Last night I was treated to my Stirling soap order in the mailbox. So excited to use this new soap. I was not disappointed! The Frozen Tundra went on nicely, first time using actual soap rather than cream so I stumbled a bit at first getting a thick lather. Once that was achieved, OH MY GOODNESS - TRUE BBS SHAVE. Razor glided across the slick as snot lather effortlessly. Oh so nice.

My face felt so chilly all morning long. Dare I say EPIC SHAVE!

  3. Good, mild, clean shave today.
I am really surprised by how mild a razor this is - but some days, that's just what I want/need.

    Nivea Men's Face Wash
    Proraso Green Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh WC1 Silver Tip
    Edwin Jagger DE89
    Personna Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    Aqua Velva

This is shave #6 of Loving the EJ DE89 Week. The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC1 Silver Tip Brush. Two passes with my Edwin Jagger DE89 and a Personna Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
  11. No idea about the Dusy, but I know the Klar Kabinett very well. I have a whole brick of it here and I like using it sometimes. :)

  12. Friday morning's planned shave:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/SuperMax Blue day 4

Anherb AS Conditioner :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

I've got another nice, frosty shave on tap for tomorrow morning - the Ingram Green cream from Egypt has about the same great mentholated, old-school scent as the Blue version of this cream with the identical rich lather. The menthol effect is definitely more potent - in fact I think it's almost as potent as Iced Subzero soap. This cream's skincare is also pretty darned good. The Anherb conditioner followed by Proraso Green aftershave is a terrific and chilly finish. Man, I'm loving these SuperMax Blue blades. ;) :D
  13. Jeff, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, Dusy may be better then Klar. I wonder if @ChiefShaver has used Dusy?

  14. SOTD 2-5-15

Hot Shower and Prep -Nivea Men Sensitive Skin Face Wash
    Razor Merkur 34c
    Blade Rapira Swedish Supersteel
    Brush - Parker Best Badger
Lather - Wm. Neumann & Co. Signature 1907
Post - Warm water rinse, Maggard Razor Alum, wait 30 seconds then cool water rinse, & Neutrogena Razor Defense post shave lotion

Had a hard time making the lather with the 1907. This my first hard soap. Just seemed to foam up when trying to load my brush. Will take some time this weekend to do some test lathers. Got it good enough for a decent two pass work day shave.

  18. My last several shaves have all been the same...

Prep: hot shower, Neutrogena Face Wash.
    Brush: Burma Boar.
    Razor: '62 Gillette Slim.
    Blade: Personna Lab.
    Cream: Palmolive Menthol.
Post: cold water rinse, Fine American Blend.

This set up is really treating me well. I am going to try and use Palmolive Menthol and Fine American Blend exclusively until they're both used up. It should take me a few months, but I can get it done. Unless I get so bored that I change to something else. But I am loving these constant face freezing shaves.
