This is shave #6 of Loving the EJ DE89 Week. The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC1 Silver Tip Brush. Two passes with my Edwin Jagger DE89 and a Personna Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

No idea about the Dusy, but I know the Klar Kabinett very well. I have a whole brick of it here and I like using it sometimes.

I've got another nice, frosty shave on tap for tomorrow morning - the Ingram Green cream from Egypt has about the same great mentholated, old-school scent as the Blue version of this cream with the identical rich lather. The menthol effect is definitely more potent - in fact I think it's almost as potent as Iced Subzero soap. This cream's skincare is also pretty darned good. The Anherb conditioner followed by Proraso Green aftershave is a terrific and chilly finish. Man, I'm loving these SuperMax Blue blades.

 

Jeff, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, Dusy may be better then Klar. I wonder if @ChiefShaver has used Dusy?

Had a hard time making the lather with the 1907. This my first hard soap. Just seemed to foam up when trying to load my brush. Will take some time this weekend to do some test lathers. Got it good enough for a decent two pass work day shave.

David. Dusy is fantastic! I love Klar, I'm telling you Dusy out preforms Klar. Slicker, better post-shave, fresher.

My last several shaves have all been the same...

Prep: hot shower, Neutrogena Face Wash.
Brush: Burma Boar.
Razor: '62 Gillette Slim.
Blade: Personna Lab.
Cream: Palmolive Menthol.
Post: cold water rinse, Fine American Blend.

This set up is really treating me well. I am going to try and use Palmolive Menthol and Fine American Blend exclusively until they're both used up. It should take me a few months, but I can get it done. Unless I get so bored that I change to something else. But I am loving these constant face freezing shaves.

The shave was great Phil! I was inspired by your post showing your R41/T2 the other day and I almost always use the Crystals so, I gave them all a go this morning. The R41 always delivers a really close two pass shave. I usually do a third ATG pass on my neck but that's all that is needed with this razor. A great razor and blade combo and the Sabi T2 handle delivers the needed heft and grip to provide the control for the R41's aggressive blade geometry. I hope yours was a pleasent as mine; if so...we're both "walkin' in tall cotton"!

 

Yes, that combo works great and will be used more often. I plan on using that combo until I feel the need to change the blade. Using the razor daily with thick moist lather is very efficient. I feel like 1 pass and a touch-up is sufficient.
