Friday morning starting off right so far.

    Maggard MR8 heavy handle razor
    Voskhod blade
    New Forrest tubby brush
    TOBS Sandalwood shave cream
    Thayers witch hazel
    Captains Choice bay rum AS

Im finding the high mountain badger brush in 26mm x 51mm to be just right. Soaked in warm water, it holds the heat during the face lather. Like having a built in scuttle....

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Cobra, French Fau Frame Back straight razor
    Blade: Feather Professional (6)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: HTGAM - Gondolier
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Musk after shave
    Cologne: MFK - Oud

A frigid Friday morning, brrrr. I broke out the scuttle to have a warm lather shave this morning. The Vie Long whipped up the Gondolier into enough lather to do 6 passes. The lather was thick, slick and stable. The Frenchy and the Cobra did their jobs well. The AV brought some protection and the Oud will have me smelling great all day.

    Have a blessed day!

    Pre - Corn Huskers
    Soap - RR XXX
    Brush - L'Occitane Plisson Synthetic
    Razor - - 66 Slim Adj (6,5,4)
    Blade - Ladas (2)
AS - 60's era Shulton Old Spice
Very good shave except for operator error in one area. I have...errr correction had a blemish above whisker line on top lip..almost 4 months of shaving and first time i cut it. Anyway, decided to use the Adjustable as an adjustable and very pleased with the results. Very close comfortable shave.

    2/6/15 - Marathon shave

    Prep: Cornhusker's Lotion
    Lather: TSD Grey Vetiver
    Brush: Omega 10066
    Razor: Weber PH
    Blade: Ladas (3)
    Post: Proraso green aftershave

Over a week of head stubble and normal face stubble. Face was done in 2 passes. Scalp took 3 full passes plus much touch up to get it clean. Should have used an open comb up there instead of the Weber. Lesson learned.

Mastro Livi Damasteel Ladder, 6/8 Full Hollow, French Point

I am particularly fond of Damasteel straight razors. Although it is very hard for me to tell what steel I like the best among those used by Mastro Livi - each one has its own quality and character - I like Damasteel because of its aggressiveness. This one is part of a personal series I ordered to Mastro Livi and to be used in my trips: although my favorite sizes are 7/8 and 8/8, smaller blades are better when you travel. Lovely razor, including its amaranth buckeye burl scales, a material I like quite a lot both for its look and pattern.
    • Pre-Shave: Roberts Distilled Rose Water
    • Soap: De Vergulde Hand
    • Brush: Omega Bristle 83
    • Bowl: Chinese Bowl
    • Strop: Mastro Livi Travel Loom Strop and Hand Palm
    • Razor: Mastro Livi Damasteel Ladder, 6/8 Full Hollow, French Point
    • Post-Shave: Umbrian Extra Virgin Oil
    • After Shave: Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla

Soap: Catie's Bubbles "Le Nude" unscented
    Brush: Oscar11 HIS synthetic
    Razor: Feather AS-D2
    Blade: Kai
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

My first use of the Catie's Bubbles soap. It lathered up easily, but I think I made it to wet. I'll try again tomorrow.

Today I decided to use a Gillette Tech. They are great razors, but often lose in the decision process to flashier or more unusual razors. So today I wanted to honor this razor, and indeed, all people and things that are dependable, solid workers, who do an excellent job, without need for recognition, prodding, or cajoling. What is that? Why yes, we are having some issues at work. Thank you for asking!

Very similar shave - and gear - as yesterday.
Can't believe I used the same razor two days in a row. What's up with that?
As mild as this razor is....I just really like the look of it and even though it's mild it does give a very decent shave.

    Razor: Personna Injector
    Blade: Schick
    Brush: L'Occitane Plisson
    Soap: Stirling's Lemongrass & Cajeput 1.0
