I find the DR Harris Bay Rum a good match for the B&M soap both have a strong scent. I have some Kramperts Bay Rum on order from Italian Barber the US aftershaves are more difficult to get for people in the UK.
Had a fantastic shave today - but 'problem' was that I used two products for the first time in the same shave so I don't know yet which of them played the biggest role. Razor: Gillette #58 (first time using it) Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (first time using this blade) Brush: L'Occitane Plisson Soap: Nancy Boy sample A/S: Provence Sante Body splash: The Veg
February 9 – Menthol Monday Gillette NI Tuckaway / Super Max Blue Platinum (2) Stirling Glacial WintergreenVulfix 660s Super Badger Retinol Men Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue The first time I have used a Stirling soap. The glacial Wintergreen is one cold soap. While face lathering my eyes were watering from the overload of Menthol. Face freeze is unbelievable. The soap has good slickness, but the lather was a bit thin, possibly because of the tiny sample I used (had a hard time loading from the small container). Rinsing with cold water after my shave reactivated the menthol and my face was truly freezing. All in all not a bad feeling. I did end up with a perfect shave, BBS and AGAIG.
Isn't krampert alcohol based? Does that work, from us to UK? I have a sample of the B&M, I like that kind of bay rum. I have lucky tiger, it's nice but didn't smell the way I thought it would =P
Had a much better shave today on Menthol Monday. I took Omars advice and went back to using a soap that i know well, whilst trying to learn how to use a slant razor. Today was much more comfortable and even closer than yesterday. I really like how I can go over my neck loads of times to get all the awkward hairs and not get any irritation. Haven't been able to do that with other razors. I think i can get even better shaves with this, much better, just need the practice. I would love to try the Stainless steel version of this. A heavy version of this razor would be fantastic to try. But this is still a great razor too. Pre shave - Proraso Green Razor - Stealth Slant V.3 Blade - Vokshod ( 3 ) Brush - L'occitane Plisson Synthetic Lather - Proraso Green Aftershave - Williams Ice blue
I think it is Alcohol based. I would love to try it (and Captain's Choice and Fine aftershaves) but I don't think we can import it. Plus I can't find a european retailer.
Are italianbarber in canada? I thought US. I dont think there is a problem with canada exporting to sweden

Thanks, I've been inspired by your outdoor photos. Yeah, Im 14hrs north of you. We started off with a mild winter but have had 2ft of snow in the past couple weeks.
Being from NorCal, I'm curious what that white stuff is? Is that what they refer to as "snow?" I didn't think it is existed anymore...at least not in CA.
Since we have no snow or cold right now, I had to make some up. My 12 year is getting into making her own scrubs and soaps so I had her make me up some new preshave oil. She didn't well. Sweet Almond, kukui, and Castor oil with some Eucyliptis, mint, and a bit of lavender. She was more excited for me to use it that I was! It's good to be dad! Paired it with Stirling's Frozen Tundra and my face be cold! Ended up with a dfs with the ikon 102 and 7 oclock blade. Cheers!
With it around 10 degrees outside and 12 inches (and counting) of snow, I decided menthol anything just wasn't happening. Instead: MWF Muhle R41 Parker best badger Captain's Choice North. In spite of the snow and cold outdoors, this was a great shave to start the week!
Plans for February 10 (day 10) MR GLO Feather Artist Club razor Feather Professional blade (day 4) RV Shaving Chubby Cobalt resin handle with 24/46 mm Shavemac Two-band Silvertip knot Art of Shaving Sandalwood cream Two pass Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, & unrefined shea butter My February goal is a close and comfortable two- or three-pass shave with this set up. My shaves have been great for the last two days! No weepers or nicks! My learnings so far have included paying extra attention to my prep and post, slowing down the shave and stretching the skin, and resisting the temptation to go back over unlathered areas or do extra passes. So, all things considered, this is pretty basic stuff. I expect the Feather Pro blade to peak out on day four, but we'll see. I'm enjoying everyone's SOTD posts! I hope you all have a great week!
