it's got nice chill, but it can be a bit mediciney.
the scent is not overly strong and it hides nicely, so you can wear a cologne over it easily.

    Wednesdays shave.

Decided to have a Trumpers Shave today. Some of you might know the troubles i have had with 2 of my 3 trumpers soaps. The short version is that I was given 2 trumpers soaps as a present but couldn't lather either of them. Trumpers have told me that that if i send them back the soaps and they test it and find there is a problem with the soaps then they will refund the postage and send me 2 new soaps. I was getting my hair cut yesterday and was retelling this story to my barber who sells all sorts of tradtional wet shaving supplies. He said "dont bother sending it to Trumpers, just bring them into me and I will swap them for you." So soon I will be getting 2 new Trumpers soaps!!!

So today i used my Sandalwood soap. The first 2 passes the lather wasnt that great. third pass and the lather was perfect. Trumpers might have the easiest soap to use. but i do love their scents.

    Razor - Stealth Slant
    Blade - Gilette Silver Blues
    Brush- Plisson synthetic
    Lather - Trumpers Sandalwood
Pre and Post shave - Trumpers Sandalwood skin food.

    Hot shower
Prep: Lime, Lavender, & Cedarwood PSO
Brush: Rubberset 49-4, 26mm TGN finest
    Cream: Castle Forbes Lime
    Razor: Weber PH
    Blade: Astra SP (3)
    Aftershave: Pinaud Lime Sec

    Nothing new here.

Prep: hot shower, Neutrogena Face Wash.
    Brush: Burma Boar.
Razor: '62 Gillette Slim set on 5 for the first pass, 3 for the second.
    Blade: Personna Lab.
    Cream: Palmolive Menthol.
Post: cold water rinse, Fine American Blend.

This Burma brush is a shedder. It's not very bad, but I still have to pick the hairs out of my lather or I find them in my razor when I'm rinsing it. However, I still got a two pass BBS with no irritation or razor burn. And tons of menthol goodness.

    TOBS Grapefruit
    Jayaruh WC1 Silver Tip
    Gillette Fat Handle Tech
    Personna Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Lemon WH
    FD Old Spice AS

The TOBS Grapefruit Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC1 Silver Tip Brush. Two passes with my Gillette Fat Handle Tech and a Personna Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then FD Old Spice after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Thursday's shaving plans:

Neutrogena Men Facial Wash :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/SuperMax Blue day 4
Dettol Cool SC :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Gold Bond Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Fahrenheit EdT

After the lousy lather which I really found disappointing from the Nanny's Ice & a Slice soap this morning I decided to use a cream which I haven't used in a couple of years. Dettol Cool is from India and it has an unusual scent, although I wouldn't call it unpleasant by any means. The lather as I remember it is very rich and easy to whip up with plenty of menthol cooling - not too far from its "countryman" which is the Godrej Menthol Mist. The skincare is very good as well - it leaves the skin feeling cool, clean and free of bacteria. The Gold Bond moisturizer is so good, and the Aqua Velva is a perfect finish. I had a very good shave this morning, although I didn't enjoy it too much so I hope this one will be more pleasurable. ;) :D

Since I need to be out of the house at 5:45 AM this week, I am taking my shower and shaving at night. Only two weeks a year I have to work five days: week of Valentines Day and the week of Mothers Day. Other wise I only work two days, if I work at all.

    Simpson 46B brush
    Gem Clog Proof SE razor
Gem SS PTFE coated SE blade
    Alum block

SoTD for Wed. February 11, or my busy season has arrived.

    Pre- Clove balsam PSO
    Soap- PC Namaste
Brush- made rite with new pure badger knot
    Razor- Swee-Do
    Blade- astra sp
    Rinse- Osage
    Aftershave- Colorado Sage
    Lotion- Kiehl's
    Cologne- Colorado Sage

I recently bought this Swee-Do razor online. When I went to test drive it, I found that the cap has a rectangle cast around the center peg. I assume it is there in order to strong arm the owner into using Swee-Do's branded blades. Having no such blades, I put it aside. Weeks passed, and I finally decided now was the time to use it, so I set out to modify a blade. Using a spring punch, I punched two side by side holes in an astra sp. This allowed the cap to accept the blade. Problem solved. The Swee-Do was nice. It is a well constructed razor and it delivered a great shave. The blade modification isn't something I will do often, but it is nice to know I can use this unusual razor.
