Saturday's Nivea Men's Face Wash C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream Jayaruh WC3 Pure Badger Gillette Fat Handle Tech Personna Stainless CWR, Asma Alum Block Thayers Lemon WH FD Old Spice AS The C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC3 Pure Badger Brush. Two passes with my Gillette Fat Handle Tech and a Personna Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then FD Old Spice after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
SOTD 2-13-15 Hot Shower and Prep -Neutrogena Men Invigorating Face Wash Razor Merkur 34c Blade Ladas (2) - Really liking this blade! Brush - Parker Best Badger Lather - RazoRock XXX Post - Warm water rinse, Maggard Razor Alum, wait 30 seconds then cool water rinse, WH & RazoRock Problem Solver Lime AS Splash. 3 pass WTG, XTG, ATG and only needed a few touch ups for a wonderful BBS. The Ladas is a great performer. I tad bit of irritation but is dissapted as the morning went on. It is still too early but the Ladas may be going after Astra SP's top spot in the Den
Planned shave for Saturday morning: Neutrogena Men Facial Wash Large Horsehair Barbershop Super Speed/SuperMax Blue day 6 Stirling Glacial Lavender SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Osage Rub AS Fahrenheit EdT This morning's shave with the Glacial Lavender soap was so wonderful and BBS that I decided to duplicate it tomorrow morning. The menthol effect from the lather is absolutely off the charts - never before did I think that there would one day be a soap which could out-freeze my Iced Subzero but that day came. I think the Gold Bond became my favourite aftershave balm, and I'm never going to give up my Rubby Dubby Doo. Have a great weekend, folks!
I agree the Ladas, especially in the 34C is a great combination for me as well....super smooth and close.
Late post of an early shave 2/13/15 Prep: hot shower and Cornhusker's lotion Lather: Ogallala Bay Rum cedarwood Brush: Omega 10066 Razor: Weber PH Blades: Shark (4) pass 1, Gillette Silver Blue (1) pass 2 Post: Ogallala Bay Rum I thought the blade was getting a little tuggy after yesterday's shave, but forgot to do anything about it. The first pass today was decidedly tuggy, so I changed to a fresh GSB and finished in fine fashion. After the 2 pass face shave, I took down my Gillette Tech and lathered up the old scalp and had a pretty decent head shave, but I missed a few spots and had to touch it up this afternoon.
