    Shave of the day

    Pre- Hot shower, Bulldog Original face wash, Sandalwood bar soap

    Soap/cream- CELLA

    Brush- Whipped dog 24mm silvertip

    Razor- Merkur 37c

    Blade- Astra SP(2)

    Post- Cold water rinse, Old spice Whitewater aftershave lotion and Crabtree and Evelyn Indian Sandalwood aftershave balm

    So I tried a new thing today. Which is to rinse my face with cold water between passes and rinsing my razor with cold water. I saw some of our members talking about it. Lathering and prepping with warm water as usual but rinsing with cold water.
    I must say it felt really good! Damn, I have been missing out haha. I almost dare to say the shave was much better than the last shave, same setup.

    I used a new product too. Valentine's gift from my girlfriend. Crabtree and Evelyn Indian sandalwood ASB. And man it smells and feels good! It feels more like a facial cream than my other balms. The balms I have are a little more liquidy =P

    All in all, a really nice shave. I believe I'm gonna continue with the cold water rinsing and perhaps gradually switch to cold water shaving. It might be for me =D

    Hey? Does lathering with cold water work the same way as with warm water?

    Great 3 pass shave. Time to change the blade. Unlike the Feather Pro which could have easily went past 7 shaves, this one is done. No tugging or pulling but just had to work much harder for the results I wanted. Good thing that the Strop Shoppe is so slick. Finish off with Clubman to complete the Barber Shop theme.

    My attitude towards higher end soaps and creams keeps evolving. After my shave I wipe off my face with a bright white cotton face cloth. Mainly because it's hard for me to lean over the sink and splash rinse but also because if there's any blood, nicks weepers, it shows. With soaps I almost never show any sign of hemoglobin, but creams usually leave sign even if it's just slight.. Now this was just my first time with this cream but the cloth was as clean as could be. The shave itself was heavenly smooth and comfortable.

    Razor: War era Gillette Nickel Fat Handle Tech
    Blade: Rapira Swedish Super Steel
    After Shave: Fine Fresh Vetiver
