1. Very classy setup Obi! :happy088:
  2. Thanks! It is definitely in my my top 3.
  3. Bet you brought that razor straight in, used a bunch of menthol soap and AS and froze your face off! :Animatedfrozensmily:

    Creative shot.
  4. Oh no....the shaving DT's will start soon! :scared011:
Get better so you can shave yourself to health! (Does that make sense? :signs002:)
  5. Valentine Shave
My cheeks feel great, but my neck is irritated. My pattern lately has been superb weekday shaves, then rough on Saturday. Maybe I'm going too slow instead of too fast? Today the blade seemed tuggy on only its second use. Oh well, my neck will feel better soon.
I chose Givenchy Pi because my wife loves it and the vanilla note compliments Lavanille.
Today is also bittersweet as the tenth anniversary of my Dad's passing. It's not so painful anymore, but I miss him.
    Prep: warm shower
    Soap: B&M Lavanille
    Brush: HIS
    Razor: Der Vorschlaghammer
    Blade: Voskhod (2 and out!)
    AS: B&M Kyovu Bay Rum
    EdC: Givenchy Pi

I just keep rolling through my razor rotation. After working with the 65 Slim on my extensively inconclusive, confusing and enjoyable, but useless, "blade test". I decided to roll forward from the '65 Slim to the'70 BB. (After that it will be the '75 BB, then the '80 Black Handle. Then back to the beginning of "time".) I think I've decided I like the Sharp Edge blade. This was shave #4 and it was very smooth and close. I've got one more, so we'll see. I believe I've read here that different blades may perform differently with different razors. This is definitely the case here because I had used the SharpEdge with a non-adjustable razor and hated it.
And thus my confusion continues....:shocked029: Ignorance is bliss.
  8. Roflmas :happy097::shocked003: Oh yeah, nice work on that brush!:happy036:

  10. February 15 Plan

    MR GLO
    Feather Artist Club razor
    Feather Professional blade (day 1)
RV Shaving handle with a 24/46 mm Shavemac Two-band Silvertip knot
    Art of Shaving Sandalwood cream
    Two passes
Alum, Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, & unrefined shea butter

My February goal is a close and comfortable two- or three-pass shave with this set up. I have, for the most part, reached my goal. This razor rewards excellent technique and lets you know immediately if you have something to work on. I will use the remainder of the month to see if I can get an even closer, while still comfortable, shave.

I face lather, and I really like the RV brush. The knot has soft tips combined with good back bone. It feels entirely different than my Kent Silvertips. The chubby/stubby handle works well if I let it sit in the palm of my hand and grip the sides while lathering.

I store my Clubman in a Frank's RedHot Sauce bottle. Come to think of it, it just might add some zing to that bowl of chili.

I'm nearly out of my AOS cream. I received it as a Christmas gift, and it has been a good performer. From here, I am moving on to a D.R. Harris cream.

    Have a restful Sunday.

  11. Thanks, Phil, and this was my very first Oscar11 brush handle! Beautiful little brush! :)

    Razor - Ever Ready 1912
Blade - GEM Personna SS (#1)
    Brush - Omega 20106
    Soap - Ingram's Shave Cream
After - Freezer Towel / Alum
    Result - BBS
  13. Thank you all for the well wishes.
  14. Today’s Shave: What a great shave! 3 pass DFS/BBS. I face lathered TOBS with the Plisson and it was a lather explosion! I never had that much lather from TOBS when trying to make lather in a bowl with it. The grapefruit scent is fantastic to boot. The heavy tech mowed down the 2 day stubble and got me BBS everywhere but on my tough chin area. Not complaining as the razor is a great shaver and I highly recommend it. Lather, brush, razor, and blade really came together. Have a great weekend everyone.
